Description

The EGO 56V 2.5Ah ARC Lithium™ Battery uses industry-leading technology to deliver Power Beyond Belief™. Its patented ARC Lithium™ design keeps the battery from overheating by pushing heat away so your equipment runs longer at full power. Its durable, shock-resistant design protects batteries from drops and the elements. Intelligent power management monitors and optimizes each individual battery cell to maximize power, performance, and runtime. This 2.5Ah battery features a fuel gauge with built-in indicator lights that show how much runtime is remaining in 20 percent increments. The 2.5Ah battery fully charges in 30 minutes with the EGO POWER+ Turbo Charger (CH7000), 30 minutes with the Rapid Charger (CH5500), 35 minutes with the 320W Charger (CH3200), and 50 minutes with the Standard Charger (CH2100). Two 2.5Ah batteries will fully charge in 40 minutes with the EGO Power+ Dual-Port Charger (CH2800D). With the industry’s most advanced battery technology, every EGO tool delivers or exceeds the power and performance of gas without the noise, fuss, or fumes.

Last longer than cheaper aftermarket replacements. I have tried cheaper versions and learned that the EGO brand lasts longer. I keep a few spares around and rotate them in use and my oldest battery is 7 years old and just beginning to show some wear as it does not last as long in a charge but it’s far from the end of its life. Ego has quite a racket going with these batteries. They are expensive, the 2.5ah doesn’t run long even on a blower, they have a lifespan of about 3-4 years and then you have to buy new ones. And when they are out of juice, they just quit with no warning. For the price Ego charges for their batteries you’d think some sort of audible sound or vibration could be produced when 10% power is left. They do charge relatively quickly when new but that doesn’t last either. With age comes “charging arthritis” and eventual replacement. This is a personal observation from empiric experience with the 2.5ah and 5ah batteries. They seem to know when the user is at the farthest point from their home to run out of juice. I use this battery on my Ego blower only and I have 2 Makita gas blowers for real work like thick wet fall leaf cleanup and other heavy duty cleanup. Overall this battery is OK but for me Ego batteries and tools are lightweight, residential tools for the non-mechanically inclined or those who dislike fossil fuel lawn tools. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ego power washer 3200 psi. — so far we love it. Appreciate the strength and ease of use. It’s so quiet, so much fun to work with. Expensive toy, hard to say if it will pay off in the end, largely depends of lifespan.
