  • Direct Replacements for X-Arcade Tankstick
I used this set and 20 more like colored buttons and micro switches to upgrade my X-Arcade Tankstick. We had to build a wiring harness for the 12 volt leds. Otherwise the buttons are a one for one replacement on the Tankstick. The threads of the buttons appear to be metal, while the rest seems to be chrome covered plastic. UPDATE: The leds were running too bright, so we reduced the led voltage down to only 5 volts dc. Picture uploaded. ... show more

  • I know the issue of the spinning label
If you take a button apart by pushing the two white pieces in the back of the button towards the middle and pushing the white plunger out (hold the spring so it doesn't shoot out into space. Remove the cap, and look closely at the top side of the pluger, there should be 4 notches. The cap should have two nipples that go into the notches of the plunger. I noticed this cause one player start never moved. Use some superglue and glue the cap onto the plunger. orientate the plunger vertically with the cap since there's more room away from the 6 button layout. Now your buttons don't move :). ... show more

  • Works as it should with a tweak
I have a valley cougar dart machine that I wanted to add a coin button to. This did the trick albeit that as others had said the coin word spins around as you press it. I overcame this by disassembling the works finally removing the cap and super gluing the cap back on in the correct orientation. No more spinning “Coin” button. Overall the button does exactly what it should and I don’t have to keep pumping quarters into the dart machine any longer. My only complaint is that the LED color is too bright almost to the distraction level and wish it came in a soft white. I will be researching this for possible LED swap. ... show more

  • and I am so glad I did
I was going to return these because the 12v thing had me confused, so I had ordered 5v buttons That order got delayed and I had not shipped these back yet - so I decided to try it, and I am so glad I did. The look of these is very nice - the chrome with the spacer makes them really stand out compared to the just white ones Clear instructions would be nice, but basically the yellow and black wires connect to the red and black micro switch and the red and black wires connect to the black bulb holder. If you hook it up the other way - all your buttons will turn off when you push this and it does not work as a button for the joystick ... show more

  • Nice with Arcade1Up SF2 cabinets after some minor tweaking
The media could not be loaded. The buttons look and feel are great. The only issues I had are the silhouette image and letters on the respective buttons freely "spin" and the polarity for the LED connections on the buttons are not consistent. Overall I like these buttons and they go great with the red/white/blue theme of the Arcade1up Street Fighter 2 artwork color scheme on the cabinet ... show more

  • Excellent arcade buttons!
Awesome arcade buttons! I used a plastic container to build a “mock up” before building one out of wood and metal. You can see in the pictures that I switched out the white LEDs and put Purple ones in there for now, and they are really easy to change. Besides looking awesome, they work great. Just like an arcade button should feel, but they have a slightly heavier push to them than regular arcade buttons, but that’s totally fine because you arnt using these buttons for playing the actual games, you use them to “insert coins” and “player 1 and player 2 start” so bottom line these buttons are great! ... show more

  • not well made, labels are not fixed in place and constantly rotate
these are pretty low quality buttons. first the words appear to be pieces of printed paper inside the clear button and when lit up it petty obvious, so it just dosen't look that good. Second and more importantly the buttons rotate and are not fixed in place so the word on the buttons don't stay straight, they constantly move around when pressed. Again, a small issue that could have been easily corrected. I had to disassemble each button and put a small amount of glue on the button cap to keep it from spinning. Last, the LED terminals are not marked "+" and "-" so you have to guess and if you get one backwards then none will light up. Does not appear to do any damage, but you have to hook up one at a time and then check to see if the buttons lite up before moving on to the next. For the reasons above I'd look elsewhere for a better LED button if you really want your arcade panel to look nice. ... show more
