No. Each Gravity Grabber comes with dry wall anchors and screws for installation. Each Gravity Grabber has holes for up to 6 dry wall anchors and screws.     • Easy Install and Holding well...

Packaging was excellent. Took everything from the box, had to use the sheetrock anchors as I installed on an interior wall in my office closet. Installed easily in about 15 minutes - bought the two pack. Once installed, hung my skis understanding the possibility that they may not hold my skis. They held both my 180cm and my daughter's 164cm skis without issue. It's only been about 48 hours since I hung them but doesn't appear there's any slippage what-so-ever to this point. The close doesn't get used a lot so there's not a lot of vibration along that wall in my closet. Some have mentioned they hung these where there seemed to be a lot of vibration either from outside sources or just slamming of doors and the skis would slip. I have not experienced any of that thus far. My new skis - Rossignol Blackops Smasher Ski - and my daughters skis - Salomon Xwing - seem to be holding strong. The one thing about gravity grabbers is that they are specifically dependent upon that amount of grip they give. I also noticed in the "videos" that if you have a problem with slippage that you can move the ski up and put the gripper inside the binding area. There are some straps you can buy separately or make yourself to pull the skis together at different spots in the ski to help secure them better depending on your situation. I am different then most, I don't just hang and try it out - I watched the install videos and they gave tips and tricks for different types of skis cause "not all skis will work when hanging at the touch point" so you have to adjust using straps and hanging differently then others. THIS is not explained in the instructions so you have to watch the videos. I believe many of the issues folks experienced with these grabbers might have been alleviated had they watched the videos included at the bottom of the purchase screen. Just my thoughts. I like them so far and haven't had any issues but it's early in the game for me. If I have issues slippage then I'll move to using some of their tips and tricks before complaining on here. ... show more

I wish they weren't made out of hollow plastic, but other than than criticism I think these are great. I bought the natural wood gain color, which is basically a hydro-dip pattern on plastic. Seems to hold up well enough. I had the usual set of two pegs per set of skis on the wall so I could hang them in the garage, but I didn't like the fact that they hung basically by the wedge of the tips. Over time I fear this will impact the shape of the alpine skis and this setup didn't work well at all for nordic skis (tips too flexible). I love that these use a vertical gravity clamp to grab the skis. So I can clamp them where the two skis naturally meet, which ensures the shape is intact. That's a huge benefit compared to adult alpine skis. I gave it a month to see if there were any issues. They worked perfectly. No slippage or falling like some others experienced. Your skis do need to be clean (i.e. no road dirt if they were on a roof rack) in order to hold (grip) securely. I bought 7 more and put them along the wall so we have all our alpine, nordic and skate skis up off the ground and organized. I've had these up a little over a month and no issues at all. Install: Rather than mounting them to the wall directly, I mounted them to an oak board and then mounted that to the wall. They provide dry wall anchors, but by using the board I could ensure it was mounted to a stud. I might be overkill, but they'll never come out. By mounting these on a board and then the wall, they sit 1/2" out from the wall and this gives a little more room for the ski poles to get out of the way of the bindings for the alpine skis. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy these because of the price, but they were worth it. They feel high quality, look great for skii/snowboard display, and free up so much space. I love how there is a hook for pole storage and the hanger itself has a killer silicone grip. They also have a small loop for a strap to extra secure them, but I wish for the price that they would’ve include a small bungee cord or strap with the kit. We had to go buy some small bungee cords. Definitely easier to hang with two people and a good drill. ... show more
