    • Lightweight, Powerful, and Perfect for Portable Off-Grid Climate Control

I purchased the EcoFlow Wave 3 without the add-on battery, so my experience is based entirely on direct AC power operation — and overall, I’ve been extremely impressed with the unit. The first thing that stands out is how lightweight and portable it is compared to most portable air conditioners in this class. EcoFlow clearly designed this system with mobility in mind, making it an excellent option for vans, small RVs, camping setups, or even moving between rooms at home. One of the biggest advantages of the Wave 3 is its off-grid flexibility when paired with EcoFlow battery systems. I already own the Delta 2 Max and Delta 3 Ultra, which is another major reason I skipped the add-on battery version. Since I can pair the Wave 3 with my existing power stations in different setups, it gives me much more flexibility while also allowing solar recharging directly back into the Delta systems. That makes this a very capable portable climate solution for off-grid use, travel, backup power scenarios, or outdoor adventures. The fact that the Wave 3 supports both cooling and heating modes also makes it far more versatile than a typical portable AC. Having both functions in a single unit means it can be useful year-round instead of only during summer months. Performance-wise, the Wave 3 works wonders in small, insulated spaces. In areas under roughly 120 sq. ft., the cooling performance is rapid and surprisingly effective. It can quickly bring down the temperature and maintain a comfortable environment without struggling. The app control is another standout feature. The EcoFlow app is responsive, intuitive, and genuinely useful. Adjusting temperatures, switching modes, monitoring operation, and controlling the unit remotely is incredibly convenient and makes the entire experience feel polished and modern. The drainage system and accessories are also thoughtfully designed. To get the best cooling efficiency, I highly recommend properly using the included adapters and exhaust pipes. Venting the hot exhaust air outdoors and circulating the cooled air back into the space makes a major difference in overall performance and efficiency. If I had one minor criticism, it would simply be that the unit itself does not include a built-in battery and sold that as an add-on. However, I also understand why EcoFlow made that design choice — integrating a battery directly into the main unit would significantly increase the weight and reduce portability, which is actually one of the Wave 3’s strongest advantages. Using my existing Delta battery makes a better sense! Overall, this is an excellent portable climate-control solution for vans, small RVs, compact bedrooms, camping setups, and other insulated small spaces. Lightweight, powerful, versatile, and backed by excellent app functionality, the EcoFlow Wave 3 has exceeded my expectations. ... show more

    • Great cooling option for off grid use.
Set name: WAVE 3 with Drain Pipe
After reading some of the reviews, I was dubious on this item. Im very happy to report that it has been a good purchase after my first outing. I set my expectations low but was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked. You do have to set it up properly and update the firmware to get it operating correctly. The drain feature needs the attention or it will not operate correctly. We had a Gazelle overland EXP to cool. It came with access points to install the cooling ducts so setup was super easy. During the heat of the day it was unable to keep up with constant sun but did cool it by 10 to 15 degrees during those times. With 93 degrees and full sun, we could get the tent down to between 80 and 84 with lower humidity - depending on the direction of the sun. At night it worked perfectly. Super quiet and the app makes controlling it easy. The unit is not rated for the rain, so you'll need to use a rain cover or keep it inside the tent. I purchased this unit to cool my tent or stealth camping rig. Works great. You can let the water vent freely or contain it to bucket for stealth camping in a parking lot. It has an eco setting for when you want to use it with an inverter and not drain your batteries quickly. Once you know the limitations of this cooling unit, it will serve you well. ... show more

    • High price, poor functionality.
Set name: WAVE 3 with Drain Pipe
The app is great but it leaks lots of water even on perfectly level ground and after checking the tube. Not worth the price for the lack of performance compared to others and leaking problem out the box. I'll most likely be returning and replacing.
