  • Edited review.
I think the AC unit is excellent . Cools and heats incredibly well and very small. The battery though, was very poorly optimized . When charging the battery, there is about a 20watt energy leak. In other words, if u have a 100 watt charger it's only gonna charge at 80 watts, the remaining 20w just disappears. This makes using solar charging extremely inefficient . You also can't charge the battery directly, it must be charged through the AC unit. I'm guessing my 20w is used to pass the power from the AC to the battery. Why not just charge the battery directly ???? Minus 2 stars because the battery isn't cheap at nearly 850 dollars I can buy a jackery bank to power the AC unit directly and solar charge the jackery battery... Edit: ecoflow contacted me and offered a refund for the battery. I will update this when the transaction has been completed . Edit: They offered a refund and as soon as I sent them the serial number they stopped replying. Edit: I had return issues on my end that prevented me from completing the return. Because the customer service was excellent Ill give 5 stars for being accomidating with all of my issues. And offering a return even past the return window. Thank you ecoflow . ... show more

  • Super heavy
We wrote seller 4 times and they ignore our request to return item. 1. The item add on battery DOES NOT CHARGE unless it is attached to the device. 2. The device weighs almost 100 pounds 3. For off grid electric charging we had to buy a dollie to tow it to and from electrical outlets at park etc 4. They market that you have to buy their power charging system to charge it and that costs almost $3,000! 5. There is two Giant hoses one goes in an attachment in the top and one in the rear you would have to put your safety at risk to sleep with a set up to vent out the window. We had to pay a handyman an additional $300 to drill into our van to make vent hoses and create an entire set up so it goes outside. All of EcoFlow advertising is fake and false they do not openly tell you all this!!! Sneaky Sneaky Sneaky!!! 6. There is a USBC charging hole for your car but the device DOES NO BRING THE CHARGING CORD. DO not BUY 7. Cooling on high barely pushes out 8. Only last on full 100% charge 2.5 hours 9. Putting the drain hose is VERY VERY hard only way to drain is is out the door tilt it over 10. The app is the only cool thing but so what if all the above over take that 11. If you are in 66 or lower temperature the fan is a great setting it consumes little power The unit gets SUPER HOT WHEN IN COOL ... show more

  • A lot of cool with minimal noise
I have Wave1, EcoFlow Pro 2000 Max, River Pro 2 and Glacier Frig, i.e. I am invested in EcoFlow. My goal is transportable power: in my house for outages, in my RV and the frig/River sometimes in my Jeep. The Wave2 and extra battery work flawlessly for me. I have not tried heat but have been running the A/C in my home. It is cooling a 10 x 15 room as well as partially cooling and adjacent 10x10 via a helper fan. I am in NW MT so very low humidity. Today it hit 95 with 18% humidity so "feels like" is 92. In my house (older moderately insulated but new windows), I was able to held 68-72 max. Like all EF products, the app functionality is excellent. ... show more

  • If you’re living in your car……
The media could not be loaded. I live in Florida and it’s hot and humid at night at least 6-8 months a year. I also live in my SUV vehicle. Running my engine and air conditioner all night burns about a quarter tank of gas and creates future engine repairs faster than normal. I needed a solution so I can sleep at night and this unit while very expensive seemed liked a great solution to my problem while allowing me to stay stealthy in parking lots at night. It works well for my need to sleep without sweating, but it also has some issues you need to be aware of. First and foremost it will last about 8 hours on the battery bank it’s designed to sit on, but only in ECO MODE which means for me I have a 20V Dewalt fan with 6ah batteries next to it blowing on low to circulate the air around me. Also it will drop the temperature about 18 degrees from the outside temperature (ambient temperature) inside your car if their the same if that makes sense. You must run the intake and exhaust hoses outside the air circulating inside your vehicle or space for the longest runtime and cooling efficiency regardless of what you see others doing. If you don’t, you will be disappointed with the results. What I do to save battery life is I first cool my vehicle down inside with my air conditioning first for about 5 minutes to get the ambient temperature to about 70 degrees which you can monitor on the machine or the app you can download. Then I start the machine and set the same 70 degree temperature on ECO MODE. The way the machine will maintain the temperature as best as it can while preserving battery life will be to cycle on and off every 15 or 20 minutes or so depending on the temperature outside and inside just like any other air conditioner. It will not come on at exactly 71 degrees but maybe 75 get the temperature down then go back off. The fan I use helps this process and is quiet too like this machine which helps me sleep and allows me to keep all my windows up and closed except the window I crack open to vent and intake the machine. I have vent visors on my windows along with window screens inside on the windows which keeps pests out like mosquitoes. So if it rains I can run the window up to the bottom of the visor and still vent exhaust air out and intake fresh air, even though it will start to pull some hot air from the exhaust but I can run in the rain. I can charge the battery back up driving or idling with my 2000 watt inverter installed directly to my battery and just placed on my dash. I use a windshield sunshade while parked and my windshield has solar tint to reject heat so my inverter runs cool no matter what. I can charge the battery back to 100% in about 90 minutes as it draws about 650 watts charging or I can actually run the machine directly on it as it starts with about 1800 watts and runs at about 500-600 watts after that but you want to have a dual battery house battery setup or just idle so your alternator keeps everything running and keeps your starting battery charged up, but I would just use my own air conditioner in that scenario. Overall it runs quiet and works for me. It’s having a drain problem right now (have that running into a used water bottle in front of my passenger seat) draining from the hose it supposed too instead leaking onto a towel I have under the machine but it’s only a slightly annoyance as I just dry the towel in the sun daily for now. I’m going to try and tilt it back more while running to see if it helps later. Also I had to seal the exhaust cover that attaches to the hose with tape as it doesn’t seal 100% and you don’t want hot air escaping into the area you’re trying to cool. Overall it’s a necessity for me, and I did the payment option with Affirm through Amazon for like $90 bucks a month to afford it, but if I can sleep at night without sweating, I’ll do it. Good for cars or tents but any space bigger than that, it might struggle unless you’re plugged directly into power and you’re running at the max 60 degrees all night. Good luck :) ... show more
