A surprisingly large amount of assembly for such a small chandelier, but easy to do while sitting on the couch watching TV. I got a very similar one for a fraction of the price in white, but the white one only looked good once I hung a bunch of extra crystals I had on it. This one is much nicer when assembled but for the price I would have expected the only assembly to be hanging the crystals, but there was a lot more to it. Once I hung it and turned it on, I was happy with the purchase. It looks really nice over a tall bureau, and was easy to hang. It’s really pretty after assembled and catches the light which creates rainbows on the walls. As far as assembly figure about two hours. It’s best if you refer to the pictures because the directions in some areas are not precise. There are a lot of small pieces and they give you extra pieces in case things are missing. Make a point of not mixing the jewels up or you will really be sorry. Do you need to take a coat hanger or something and hang it up as you put it together. The first unit ordered was lost in the mail. A replacement was sent out right away. Easy to install. Assembly is easy but a little intricate so if your eyesight and fingers don't work as well as they did in your youth, you may need a little assistance with the smaller connecting pieces. As others mentioned, there is some assembly required. You don’t have to chain every single link together though. I was able to assemble the entire thing during a 45 minute TV show. Installation was a little more challenging as this was the first time I ever attempted changing a light fixture. I used a wiki how article for guidance, but had to do a little guessing on the wiring since the instructions were vague on the wire identification. The non insulated wire, I attached to the ground screw with the copper wire from my box. The other insulated wires did not appear different in any way, so I just hooked one to the black and one to the white and hoped for the best. I also used the extended anchor since I used a medallion. I found the easiest way to install it was to assemble everything up to the bracket. Then, leaving the ceiling plate loose, screw into the existing box, complete the wiring and then tightening the plate (and medallion in my case). It looks great in my closet and gave it the glamorous dressing room look I was going for! ... show more

This comes in a bunch of pieces but they are labeled and there are instructions (although it would be nice if there was a finished picture included). I do have a problem with one of the metal brackets -- it was missing a hole for the crystals to attach. I double-checked everything to make sure it was not me putting a bracket together incorrectly, but it is definitely a flaw. I will have to figure a work-around. Other than that, this is adorable. As described, this is a small chandelier, but it puts off lots of light and and has great reflection with all the crystals. I'm using this in a bedroom. I'm quite pleased. ... show more

I'm updating my daughters room and she asked if I could get her a chandelier. Thinking that they would cost an arm and a leg I was quite surprised how reasonably priced this was. Now there is quite a bit of assembly involved, but I took my time and I was able to get it put together with no problems. Once I got it together It looked great. It took me a bit longer to install as I was converting the existing fixture from a recessed fixture to this. Had to remove a few links to get to the right height, and adapting it to the recessed converter kit added to the install time. But in the end it was well worth it. I put an LED bulb in it and it really glows! If you're in the market for something to add a little elegant bling this is a product to consider! ... show more

The chandelier was technically easy to put together and to install, but it is time consuming putting the crystals on. I would not suggest this for someone who has dexterity issues with their hands. The crystals are actual crystals and not the cheap acrylics that a lot lights in this price range have. This is the same style that's sold at one of the major home improvement stores, but at about half the price. Due to personal taste, I changed out the type of hanging pendant crystals around the edges, but that was just to get it to match the decor I already have. Definitely worth the price!!! ... show more
