I had to word in the head line what I wrote. I'm glad that The company replaced a defective speaker. They did kindly send me another one. About the replacement: To start off, I have 33 different kinds of speakers: So after I received this one, I had high hopes for it. But I really want to like it! But, I'm honestly having a hard time believing that this is 40 watts. It doesn't have the bass that it claims at all. If this is 40 watts; then the sound language would have to be judged on the highs more so than on either the mids or the bass. This is why, judging a speaker; by a company saying a speaker produces a certain watt is very risky to the customers. Especially, if the customer has sound metric devices, db devices, audiophile equipment to measure the frequencies themselves. Personally, I don't have such devices yet. But I do have keen ears!!! Because of me having so many speakers putting out various watt claims. I like the look of this speaker! I like the lights! As far as the battery life- I haven't fully tested just how long the battery will truly last. A lot of times, a speaker battery doesn't last near as long as they get advertised by the manufacturers. I don't know if it's truly water resistant or not. I usually don't try to test that area in water situations.- Because I hear so many perspectives by other customers- finding out that their speaker of whatever kind; claiming that it was water resistant or waterproof but after they tested it, it really wasn't. So I leave that area of reporting alone. I'm just focussed on the sound quality- I just don't think this is 40 watts at all. Attention: I think the company should manufacturer an upgrade on these speakers. Meaning, engineer an actual bass boost button on them that can be actually pushed. This way, it would end up living up to more bass and overall power coming out of it. If a bass boost or a button that you push once for indoor and push it again for outdoor- it could help the bass and mids to be more loud as well as clear. I hope this company really works on making this speaker much more powerful by an upgrade! They should also consider making plastic legs on the bottom. Once again, I'm glad that the company gave me a replacement do to the first one being defective on battery, sound and power light. I hope this company takes my advice on making this become a more powerful and truly 40 watt or more speaker.

This speaker is incredibly loud and easy to turn lights on and off or pair the Bluetooth. Everything checks out a week later. Friend recommended this instead of JBL speaker. Found some clipped coupons and with prime shipping, this cost $40 out the door. Edit, price has doubled since I bought this.

This is a pretty decent bluetooth speaker but I feel like the battery doesn't last as long as it should. I have the lights off and volume about 75% and it barely last 4 to 5 hours no where near 30 hrs approximate continuous playback. If this speaker can handle 30 hrs continuous playback at mid volume and no lights 8 to 10 hrs should be feasible with no lights and max volume.

1st, I'm a true audiophile. Other reviewers must be hard of hearing! I wouldn't even give this 1 star if it were possible. BIG FAT ZER0 is what I really think! This is a speaker worth at most $20. To me, it's worthless. Total garbage! It rattles at high volume, even at low bass. The grill material is at an angle and bulging out of where it's supposed to be tucked in! Takes forever to charge and only accepts a 5v/2amp charge. If I received this as a gift, I'd think the giver was a cheapo. RETURNING IT RIGHT NOW! MY ADVICE... GO BUY A SOUNDCORE MOTION PLUS! THAT'S A REAL SPEAKER! Mine is 30 watts (10 less than this) and about 20% louder and 100% clearer sounding. I think this speaker is at most15 or 20 watts, with a peak power of 40 watts. No way it's 40 watts! Very disappointed! I have a Red Rockville Faze coming tomorrow. Hopefully that will be better than this junk. I'll update right away after I test it. I really love my SOUNDCORE MOTION PLUS. I'm just looking for something a bit smaller, but just as loud, that will accommodate me better on my motorcycle. Something that will fit a bit lower on my handlebar in my Scosche fire extinguisher mount so it's more out of the way of my ignition switch. Otherwise, I would stay with the Souncore Motion Plus. It's just a pain in the butt to get my key inserted as is. There you go. An honest opinion, from a real audiophile. I like to hear my music the way it was recorded, not through a muddy pillow.
