  • Theyre Nice
Color: Red-brown
Not bad at all. Had that brand before, and they lasted for ever, so decided to try it again. I do hear some static already after just a couple of weeks, thought maybe some defect, but decided to keep it. Nice bass, but wont blow up the house.

  • Better from a distance
Color: Red-brown
I have for comparison a klipsch promedia 2.1 thx and klipsch promedia 2.1 bt, and an altec Lansing 4.1 set from 20 ish years ago. I would say the promedias are a step up from the AL in all regards with the thx slightly better than bt. Compared to the promedia, the Edifier comes out ahead in detail and clarity and the sub goes lower, HOWEVER when I compare side by side I feel the edifier needs to be listened to from at least 4 feet away otherwise the satellites don't blend well with the sub, whereas the klipsch seems meant to be listened from closer. ... show more

  • Great for the average Joe without spending $$$$
Color: Red-brown
Have owned for over 3 years now and still enjoy it and does the trick when I want to hear quality in my music, pairs with all my devices and use it as a sound bar for my tv and it really brings movies alive, like my own movie theater

  • OK, they're Really Good, but not Really Great and I have an alternative for you.
Color: Black
I'm an audiophile... been for 30 years. Home theater Arendal 1723 speakers, SVS SB3000 sub, SVS SB2000 sub, Elac DB63 rear surrounds, Eversolo Master Edition streamer and DAC, .... blah blah, you get the picture. So I had great anticipation in getting the Edifier S351 to replace my Logitech 2.1 system at my office desk. The Edifier name carries immense clout and panache. Deservedly so for the most part. So I got these set up. I knew they'd need some break in time, great components always do. But honestly these were a miss. Bummer. First, they ARE great at imaging and clarity and resolution. But the soundstage is very skinny, oddly narrow and lean. No bloom, no depth, no width. And the real dealbreaker for me is no knob on the sub to change volume or integration of the sub with the mains. The whole experience was "thin." So, on a lark, I tried the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 Heritage (the sort of retro looking 2.1 Pro Media system. Good Lord, what a MASSIVE difference. Within 41 seconds I said to myself, "now THIS is what I was hoping for from the Edifier. Humongous sound, with dynamism, authority, immense soundstage. The difference is literally night and day. And 90% of the people who buy Edifier products will never know that something this much better 1. exists and 2. is $100 cheaper. ... show more

  • Would be a good value at double the cost
Color: Red-brown
WOW WOW WOW... These speakers are unbelievable. The sound quality is phenomenal. I like a wide range of music and these speakers do not disappoint. When playing Yo-Yo Ma the sounds of the cello literally gave me chills. Kenny G... Sounded like he was in the room playing. Jump over to some Metallica "For Whom the Bell Tolls" that intro... insane on these speakers. Pump up some New Found Glory, or Linkin Park you're like "What?! How does this sounds so good?!" Major Lazer... I started really pumping it up and after a big smile on the bass quality I started thinking "ok I need to turn these down or the neighbors will complain. The sound quality is so rich, it feels so realistic. You can really get absorbed in the music and almost feel like you're at a concert. I highly recommend listening to Chris Botti's "Chris Botti - in Boston (Live)" album with these, track 2 "when I fall in love" really highlights some of the more subtle nuances of the sound quality. I cannot remember the last time I was this happy about a purchase, these speakers would be a good deal at double the price. Highly recommend, they will not disappoint. ... show more

  • Great bass for rap. Works great for keyboard
Color: Black
Sub BUMPS. Turn the EQ up +2 on bass, turn on your favorite song from The Carter IV or Kush and OJ and let em rip. I also have this plugged into my Roland JUNO88 synth and very crisp sound and loud.

  • (Updated): I would not recommend these speakers, and I have returned them.
Color: Black
Setup was easy enough, but the wireless remote control did not work out of the box. I contacted amazon support and they suggested purchasing an after marker remote control made specifically for these speakers. Kind of strange that there is enough demand for a 3rd party company to manufacture a remote control for these specific speakers. Coincidence? Audio quality is okay, but not sure if it's worth the $400 price tag especially if you take in account the speakers ship with a non functional remote control. If they can't produce a working remote control, what other corners have they cut? I'm skeptical on how long they will last, only time will tell. Based on the 1 star I am giving these speakers, I would not recommend these speakers. I'm would have to imagine there has to be better quality out there in this price range. UPDATE: After getting the 3rd party remote control I did more testing and realized the sub woofer low pass filter does not work. The sub woofer allows mid - high range audio to play out the sub woofer speaker reducing over all sound quality. Typically on a 2.1 setup like this the sub woofer has a 200Hz low pass filter to prevent mid to high range audio from going to the sub woofer. Even after having to replace the remote control and discovering the low pass filter issue I decided to move forward and try to install the speakers in my home entertainment system only to discover the optical input does not work. After 3 strikes (non functional remote, no low pass filter, non functional optical input) I decided enough is enough and returned the speakers. What worked: Blue tooth Audio Left and right speakers Volume control on right speaker Bass and Treble controls on right speaker What does not work: Remote control out of the box Low pass filter on sub woofer Optical input Not tested: PC, AUX and Coax inputs. These speakers are garbage. If I could give them -5 stars, I would. ... show more
