Color LCD, quick response, easy to navigate, but one small quirk (might be fixed by an update; full disclosure: I have not checked for any yet)... When clearing trouble codes manually, you have to go back one level in the menu after the code is read/displayed in order to have the clear option. That said, as a point of mention to anyone who is clearing these codes and may be unaware, generally, an onboard computer will clear diagnostic codes automatically after a problem is corrected and the vehicle is operated for a short trip -- no need to manually clear/reset. Overall this is a great product I would recommend, especially if you take advantage of the $4 off coupon; I ended up buying one to keep in each vehicle and have no regrets so far. ... show more

    • Useful, Can Be a Bit Hard to Navigate
I've used this scanner a few times now to read Check Engine codes. It's been successful at what I've used it for. However, it is a bit hard to navigate the menus. The instructions aren't really that clear, so you'll often have to do some trial and error to learn where you need to go. Overall, it's been worth the value, especially as opposed to driving to the local auto parts store to get them to scan it. ... show more

    • Nice Scanner -but DTC Error Code on Honda Fit 2007
Very Nice OBD2 scanner allows reading real time diagnostics, codes, etc. Small screen but great value and very nice full function: EXCEPT in my use case on Honda Fit 2007 it sets a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code = Engine Check Light ON) suggesting a CAN Bus Protocol Error perhaps. This temporary DTC does clear itself after one full-cold thermal cycle but I am returning this and will seek a value scanner that is fully compatible with Honda '07 Fit. ... show more

I been wanting one of these OBD2 scanners for awhile, when I saw this one on special sale, I had to grab it. Comes in a nice box that includes easy to read and understand instruction(but lettering is small). Includes a Old style USB connector(Have no idea why). I hooked it up to my 2012 Nisan Frontier, read perfect with no errors or codes, what I was suspecting. When I plugged it into my 2005 Hyundai Sonata, it read it perfect including all the error codes it was spitting out(I knew it would). I knew what the codes were for, so once I replaced the parts it was easy to hook the ODB2 scanner back it, clear the error codes(better than disconnecting the battery) and all is fine. Read a ton of stuff, even with the engine not running and key just to on position. Once started it will read live codes for you, you can freeze a read out code so you can look at it longer. Reads your VIN number. Really impressed with this one, the LCD screen is clear, colorful and easy to read. The 4 button only menu selection is a no brainier to use, up, down, ok(enter) and back functions.
