It was easy to finish assembling and the battery charged in about 6-8 hrs. Beautiful to look at and it folds so I can put it inside my car and not need a bike rack. I highly recommend it. Fat tires allow beach riding which is what I wanted it for. Good on dirt paths too.

    • Great value for the money
Bike is super tough, on and off road capable. Only have about 40-50 miles on it so far but I'm loving it. Did a 22 mile ride on a paved trail and still had 1/4 power left at the end. Mostly rode in PA#2 with a little throttle and some PA#3 too. Did some light trail riding on a mountain bike path and it handled well. Not as good as my BMX cruiser, but definitely fun and usable. If you are tall you will not get a full leg extension for pedaling. However, I'm 6'1" and still consider it comfortable enough to pedal on longer rides with the pedal assist. Make sure you go through the bike and tighten all the screws, nuts, and bolts. My derailleur bolt loosened up on the long ride. But I brought tools so it was a minor inconvenience. 20mph is plenty fast I don't think you'd want to go much faster on a bike of this style. The folding feature is very useful. This thing is a dog to pedal without the assist, so if you want something you can use w/o power get a traditional style bike. ... show more

Purchased for hunting Pros: Easy to fold and store, fat tires handle off-road extremely well, great for the price point Cons: Battery life is short on hilly terrain, cannot handle much of an incline, the seat is a bit uncomfortable, if you intend to use off-road upgraded forks w/ suspension is a must. Overall if you're looking to get into owning an ebike this is a great buy as it will handle what most people will use it for. ... show more

    • Great budget E-bike, poor battery quality, still worth it.
As many negative reviews have said the battery failed at 11 months. I was lucky enough that the battery failed right before the warranty was up. After showing a video to the manufacturer proving it was defective they promptly sent a new one. At this price point there is no way the battery is going to be good quality. I would bet the maximum profit on this bike after Amazon takes their 15% cut and shipping fees is around $50. I'm very familiar with batteries and I can make a new one myself if this second one fails.i got this E-bike for my wife that's 5"4. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone over 5"8. It's smooth, has nice gear ratios, wide tires for grass, good range, and decent top speed. My only complaint is you can't turn off assist mode. It's always on lvl one if the power is on. She's put at least 300 miles on it. You really can't beat this E-bike for the price even if you have to purchase a new battery. ... show more

    • Came with incorrect tools
The wrench that came with it doesn't fit any of the bolts especially the tire bolts, the Alan wrench only fits the handle bar adjustment. The front fender which needs to be attached by me does not have the correct nuts and bolt for it, do another trip to the depot store for a correct size is needed. The back tire has a useless bracket on it eith incorrect sizes for the tools provided, making it a pain in the ass to remove and change. It takes a long time to charge compared to the miles you get and the holding power of the battery pretty low end battery with built in poor design. Customer support sucks. Mine created a magnetic field that popped the back tire. Probably because of electron leakage. Other then that it is heavy and is only suited for flat hard ground as it has no shocks the fat tire supports all the weight. Meaning a little sand bogs the motor down contributing to further leakage of electrons due to poor design. A simple car battery has more protection being much older in design. Very quick delivery. I believe about 2 days before pre-purchase estimated delivery date. Easy to assemble. Extremely well built. Adjustable in every way to fit personal size. Rides great as peddle-only or with electric assist. Has a lot of power. Priced right compared to competitors. Love the bike. More info after having bike awhile. “This Folding Fat Tire is our second purchase from Ecotric. Seems to be a great company. They followed through with backing a problem I was having with ‘Too Fast Speed’ of this bike when compared to the 26” Fat Tire we purchased first. They sold me the same controller and display screen which I changed myself without much difficulty. Now the speeds are exactly like our other bike. Love the bike and the company. The only difficulty is contacting them for this issue. Their phones in Oakland CA won’t receive messages and so you have to wait on correspondence by email once per night. Rode this bike to work (18 mi. round-trip) for 2 1/2 years with no major problems - only minor adjustments. Just wanted to say the battery is still good after 2.5 years, and I am very happy with everything. (I don't usually bother giving good reviews, LOL) Only negative is the assembly is a little tricky. If you are not mechanically inclined, you should take it to a bike shop and have assemble for you. ... show more
