I’ve been using the Ecoroad ES6 for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best purchases I’ve made. Right away, I was impressed by how solid and well-built it feels. The scooter has a sturdy frame, a wide platform, and a comfortable riding stance, so it doesn’t feel flimsy or unstable at all. For a scooter in this class, it really gives off a premium impression. The ride quality is where this scooter really shines. The 10-inch pneumatic tires and dual suspension make a huge difference on rough pavement, cracks, and everyday bumps. It glides over bad roads better than I expected, and the handling feels smooth and controlled even when riding at higher speeds. The 1000W rear-drive motor gives it plenty of power, and it has no problem delivering quick acceleration when you need it. Battery life has also been very good in real-world use. The ES6 is rated for a range of about 25 to 31 miles, depending on conditions, which has been more than enough for my daily riding. I also appreciate the practical features like cruise control, the digital display, adjustable handlebar height, and the full lighting system, because they make the scooter feel thoughtfully designed instead of bare-bones. Safety and stopping power are another big plus. The dual disc brakes plus E-ABS give the scooter confident braking, and that makes a big difference when riding in traffic or around pedestrians. It also has a max load capacity of 330 lbs, which adds to the sense that this scooter was built with real-world adult commuting in mind. Overall, I’m genuinely very happy with the Ecoroad ES6. This scooter is so cool. Built super well, it just feels solid. It is about 50-60 pounds so it’s not super easy to just fold up and carry around but who cares. At setting 4 I get it up to 25 mph, downhill I’ve gotten to 29, at a full charge I can do 25 on slight hills too, and 20 on steep hills. If you are a commuter and need a scooter that surpasses Lime scooters, look no further! ... show more

    • Handlebars collapsed at speed and my son crashed. Do not buy.

I bought this ECOROAD electric scooter and had problems almost immediately. Within about three weeks the brakes made a loud grinding noise when engaged, the folding handlebars would not stay tight and came loose after every single ride no matter how much I tightened them, a screw fell out, and the kickstand broke off. I reported all of it. Before any of it was resolved, the loose folding handlebars collapsed while my son was riding at around 25 mph. He fell onto the road and got road rash. It could have been much worse. On a scooter rated up to 31 mph, a folding mechanism that will not stay locked is not a minor annoyance, it is a serious safety hazard. Getting help was its own ordeal. Instead of accepting a return, the seller told me to adjust the brakes myself, buy a replacement screw locally, and buy and install a new kickstand. When I asked for a refund, they sent a label marked "postage required" instead of a real prepaid label, which would have made me pay to ship back a product that failed and injured my child. Bottom line: multiple defects within the first few weeks, a folding system that does not stay locked, and a seller who tried to turn a defective and unsafe product into my repair project. I cannot recommend this scooter to anyone, and especially not for a kid. Please look elsewhere! ... show more

I have had this for about a month now, and it seems pretty good. It is quite sturdy and well lit, although the side deck lights are a good addition for the visibility; it would have made more sense to have the side deck lights as turn signals. You have brake lights that illuminate whenever you squeeze the brakes, but some turn signals would be quite useful, and then applying them could allow each side deck light to blink, further improving visibility and alerting others that you're changing lanes. I have added turn signals to the back of my helmet, but that doesn't help people in front of me. The only issue I've had thus far is that my front tire is loosing air. Not sure where the leak is coming from, but it's weird because some days it leaks more than others. I have bought new inner tubes, but have not installed them yet. Still monitoring. As for battery life, it seems to hold a charge quite well too. I have ridden it to work on days that I had to work both jobs, and it was able to do the 7-mile round trip route from home to job1 to job2 to home without losing much battery charge; the voltage never got below 50.3V. The battery percent and voltage don't seem to coincide much with each other, and I mostly monitor the voltage rather than the battery percent. Typically after riding, then parking, the voltage will creep up a few points, like from 50.3V up to 52V in a matter of minutes. I do, however, charge the battery to full every day, and it'll hold overnight, so I'm leaving the house on a full battery showing the voltage at 55.1V. The overall speed seems spot on as well. I'm 5'2" and about 150 lbs and ride on level 4 (max) and have gotten up to 31 mph. I mostly get my speed up, then let off the throttle and let it coast for a bit. Furthermore, I have gone through the settings menu and lowered the electronic parking brake tightness down to weak to allow me to coast more upon letting off the throttle, especially coming downhill (a good way to conserve some battery). I think the brakes work quite well, and it's stable. Although upon getting up in speed, I sometimes feel a wobble (around 27 mph), but I'm not sure if that's the scooter, the road, or something I'm doing or carrying. Overall, it feels quite safe and adjustments are easy to deal with. ... show more

I have been absolutely loving this scooter! If you are upgrading from a 15.5mph more basic scooter to this, you will not be disappointed! This was my personal situation and stepping off of that, and onto a scooter that goes double the speed feels like I’m on a 2 wheeled Ferrari! The value for money is truly incredible compared to others on the market. The entire scooter feels very solid, the folding latch has a nice reassuring feel, the grip tape on the deck is a nice touch. I ride on pretty flat ground in a neighborhood and weigh about 165-175lbs. I very regularly achieve the top speed of 31mph all the way down to low battery percentages. Against wind at an incline you can expect around 25-30mph. This is common on all scooters under $500 so nothing really to criticize there. Range is also fantastic. I put about 12 miles on it and was around 45% battery so everything seems to advertise accurately in my experience. The display is very pretty and intuitive. Solid scooter - only getting 9 mileage on battery life compared to claimed 40 mile rating is a deal breaker. Returning this today.
