Although unit is pricy it works beyond what I hoped for . I was not sure it was working although it was running . Followed setup instructions , but temp was not changing. One needs to know it is a 4500 gal .pool that was just filled from a hose. Water was about 58deg. Now air temp and sun was helping. It was Mid April in Ill. To make a long story short , this heater slowly brought temp to 86DEG. in 3 days going 24HR. a day. and did not change until it shut down when the air temp reached into the Nineties. I just whish it could cool water also! Easy to install, and Quiet operation. If nights are cool use a solar cover at night, works very well.

Cooling fan collided with the housing and broke a blade off on first startup, the box looked to be undamaged. I didn’t even get to try it out…

If you have an outdoor pond and are looking for a way to keep it warm in the winter this works great. Don't waste money on a pond heater. Buy the Above Ground Pool Heater instead.

I just got this 2 days ago.. and my pool went from 60* at fill to 77* in two days.. I dont know what it will do to electric bill yet And the cord is kinda short for a heater. Also, the box that housing the heater is plastic and mine has a crack in it. So it does work, but run it non stop. Until sun can keep it warm. It seems to go up by 2 degrees at a time.. so for me was worth it. No noise. Kinda tricky to get it started up. Push and hold buttons.

Because of our heat pump we were able to utilize our pool into October and we live in North Dakota. Easy to install, electrician wired for 220 w. Easy to set desired temperature and pump maintained temp. Our pool is above ground 14 by 22 oval, 48 deep.
