This tiller is very powerful and chews right through the grass. I’ll be honest, it chews through the grass better by pulling it backward but once that’s done, it digs through the dirt like a champ! I like how you can control the depth based on the angle you hold it. I’d like it better if there was some kind of dirt guard or flap on the back because the dirt flies at your feet and legs but, then again, you’re working with dirt. I am the quintessential little ole lady. About 5 feet tall and 115 lbs with arthritis and I found this tiller to be quite easy to handle. A bit of a stretch to reach the thumb button and trigger to get started but this won’t be a problem for most people. I have very small hands and I can do it. So I waited until I'd used this awhile before this review. It takes awhile to get used to the cord, but given my situation it was no big deal. I was able to work my entire garden to prepare for Spring. It's heavy enough to stay in the dirt. It will bounce when hitting a root, rock, etc but with practice it wasn't a problem. I'm 67 and wanted something lighter when my old beast wore out. I'm very satisfied with this! ... show more

If you are wanting to use this to break up new ground Don't. I cut the grass as short as I could then tried to till. It thatched the lawn nicely. But after multiple passes it would not pull up the grass roots. If you have previous tilled soil it would work sufficiently to till for planting. Otherwise I would recommend a gas tiller.     • Best little chipper EVER for a woman.
Small and compact. You dont need to yank on a cord. Just plug it in, put a bucket under the shute and begin chipping. So far I've got 3-50 gallon garbage cans of mulch for my yard. LADIES if your a passionate gardner you definately need this tool in your shed. I love this machine!

This product actually surprised me at first use, It is ez assembly. Took me about 5 mins to figure it out and have it completely assembled. When installing the wheels, don’t get freak out. There is no screws . It is simply just a pin lock. No tool required at all. However make sure you don’t assemble cover of the wheels before you have wheels properly attached to the product first otherwise you have a problem attach the wheels.
