    • Very weak, too small to be effective
I bought this for the furnace in my garage, wherein the metal regularly gets glowing hot in parts but mostly goes straight out the chimney. It’s a small square lid, about a foot and a half by a foot and a half, so I figured I didn’t need a huge furnace fan. I ordered this, and was optimistic at first. It looks very nice and is very sturdy, and the fan blades spin at the suggestion of force. I put it on the furnace, and was delighted to see that it started spinning super fast with no wobble or anything. I left it there and came back twenty minutes later and… my room was still cold on the other end. Turns out, this fan only pushes the hair forward maybe a foot or two, and you can only feel the force of it if you’re basically standing in front of it. For a smaller room, say maybe a small living room with a furnace, this may be a good product, but for anything the size of a single car garage or more, I would highly recommend spending the little extra cash and going the next size up on it. ... show more

I use this small but mighty fan on my propane fireplace because there’s no blower on the unit. It doesn’t blow hard but gently moves the heat away from the fireplace & heats my living room just fine. It takes about 10-15 minutes to start turning. I wish I would have discovered the EcoFan years ago. Great addition to my small home. ... show more

    • What a stove fan!
This small fan is super quiet, and moves A LOT of air off our stove and into the living area. It is much more powerful at moving air than our old fan. Amazing device.

A friend gave me one of these about 10 years ago. It worked beautifully. It must move the heat into the room because the fan moves very fast when the wood stove is hot, though the air movement isn't very noticeable. But we have used it as a visual temperature gauge. When it's really spinning, it's time to damper the fire. If it's still moving in the morning, we know the stove is still warm. A few days ago, it just stopped working, and we missed it so I bought another, which is also working perfectly. ... show more

I bought this Carframo 800CAXBX Limited fan for hubs as a Christmas Gift... Hubs is the guy who has everything, who if he wants something he buys it.. so to find something that he is interested in... I file it and use for special occasion gifts.. This hit the mark! When placed on our Woodstove, the raising emitted heat causes the fan to turn, and in turn forces the hot air into the room. Now, this is a fairly small item, not large enough to warm your house, but it does a great job of forcing the woodstove heat into the dining and living ares of our home, therefore saving on our propane consumption.. Plus! It looks super cool doing it! With winter coming up.. I'm sad to say it's getting to be that time of year again... but withe warm cozy fuzzies of a roaring fire on a cold night... A little bit of heaven on earth... hail hearth and home! ... show more

    • Made a difference
I have a Cubic Mini Cub that hangs on the wall. Because of that, in the extreme cold, the floor level stays cold for a while until the entire room is heated, which can take hours. This fan helps to keep the heat evenly distributed in the room. At some point, I still might drop the stove down to floor level but the fan is still an added bonus for making sure the heat isn't all staying at the top of my little she shed. When I get to the she shed, it's often 30-some degrees inside, sometimes even colder. Every little bit helps. ... show more

OK I was intrigued enough with this to just purchase and try it out. Based on other peoples reviews it seemed like it might work so lets just buy it and see? I tried it out and I really cannot believe it works as good as it does. This coupled with a door fan really does push the air out of the room and move it into other rooms making the heat more even. We were having the room heat up to around 85 and the other rooms were around 61 with our fireplace going. When I put the door fans in we were able to to get the rooms up to 64 and the room with the fireplace staying around the mid eighties. Now with the addition of this the other room gets up to 71 and the room with the fireplace is around 78. OK so this really does work and I believed it so much I bought another one for the other fireplace. ... show more
