I had such high expectations, but alas it was not to be. The flame size is not adjustable. The heat output is great. The thermostat is awesome... From certain angles it looks good, from other angles it looks very fake indeed. The worse part is that it shuts off after a few minutes of use. We have had a technician come out and look at it, but it still isn't functioning. I would not recommend this product. ... show more

Super nice. It was easy to assemble and program the remote. Directions were good and it took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The flame height is perfect. It is a quality insert and worth the money. Frankly put I would buy another one if I had the need.

After getting quotes for new gas logs starting at $2500 and up, we ordered these for about $275 and found a plumber friend to help us install. For the price this is a very nice product. The packaging was great and nothing was broken. These gas logs will PUT OUT SOME HEAT!!!!! So far we are very pleased. Installation instructions were very clear, and the automatic thermostat as well as oxygen depletion sensors give us peace of mind. I read a lot of the negative reviews and I believe most of these are from inexperienced installers, or they just didn’t read the instructions because almost every concern expressed is addressed in the paperwork. ... show more

We operate a guest house on our property where I’ve had a gas log set for the last five years. The original log set went bad and I ordered a new log set from Amazon manufactured byDuluth. It arrived and would not stay lit. Tried multiple things, including calling the manufacturer who suggested I check my gas pressure From my propane tank, which I did after purchasing a gas gauge set up. I Contacted the manufacturer again saying I still could not get the log set to work correctly and I would like to return it for a replacement which they denied saying it was out of the 30 day warranty window. As I said, it is located in our Guest House and we are very busy and I could not intrude on our guests during their stay. Since I wasn’t getting any assistance, I located another log set locally which I purchased and installed, and it operated the very first time I turned it on. I contacted Amazon asking for assistance in returning the log set since I am an Amazon prime member, which in the benefits description describes a 90 day window for returns and assistance. Amazon said they would get back to me which was almost a month ago with no contact. ... show more

Easy setup. Puts out lots of heat! Solid, heavy logs which hold heat after the fire goes out which is nice. The remote is great! Not common on units in this price range. It has on/off and a built in thermostat. I set it to 70 degrees, place the remote across the room and it automatically keeps it in that temp range. The logs are an issue when first setting up. They aren't numbered and the pics are not very helpful for placement. It's like a puzzle. Have fun. They also put off an odor for the first few hours. After that, they are beautiful and the amber padding and small rocks included add a great ambiance. I purchased a universal gas appliance connection kit which is a good idea since it doesn't come with a lot of connectors. I can't believe this was under four hundred dollars.
