I can't argue that these are an outstanding value, but I had to return because the mounting did not work for me. There are two different mounting options: 1) for recessed lighting canisters and 2) for flush mounting on a ceiling electrical box. It includes screw-in light bulb socket adapters and wire springs for option 1, but I was not using this option so I didn't try it. I was trying to flush mount on ceiling electrical boxes. For this, the lights have two pairs of keyed hole/slots at two different spacings. However, neither of them would fit the electrical boxes in the house where I was trying to install these. These electrical boxes were smaller than either of the provided slots, and since the LED lighting panel is in the center of the disc so there was no way to use two mounting screws on these electrical boxes. You could use one screw into the box and another screw into the ceiling itself. However, I will say that these older boxes are probably not the most common or standard ones that most people would have in their houses and that these lights were designed for. But I also ran into the problem that these is zero space between the back of the disc and what it is being mounted on. I get that these are supposed to be as flush as possible, but anything, literally anything that is not level behind the disc will make them not sit flush, leaving an unsightly gap at some edge of the disc. If there is a screw sticking out a bit from the box, if the box is not mounted completely flush and level, there will not be any way to get the disc flush to the ceiling. The LED lighting disc is also only at the very center of the disc, so even after putting on the diffuser panel, there is a very obvious hot spot of light right in the middle. The diffuser itself is put in place by pushing it in place and then rotating it so the small clips slot into the body of the unit. I found this pretty hard to do because there is nothing at all to grip on the diffuser and it is a round convex unit. But this is only something you would do once when installing it. Even with the diffuser in place, I found the light to not disperse as much as needed to give an even lighting, so it had a bit of a hotspot effect. The 3000K version did give a warm soft-white tone which was comforting. Without the problems mounting, I would have kept the lights. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great deal on bright lights. Bought these for basement stairs, closets, laundry room. It’s a thin construction but precisely made and easy to install. Mine are hardwired in but they came with a screw-in adapter as well.

I installed 38 of these lights, our builder installed some similar lights but they were 3000k which is not a very pleasant color for interior lighting so we wanted something in a 5000k “daylight”. These were exactly same diameter, and lower profile than the lights they replaced. The lights were very simple to install on the existing junction boxes.     • Good fixture for closets or garage, but not main house. They do strobe.

This LED fixture does strobe if you have sensitivity to strobing. What this means...if you waive your hand or move something quickly under this light, it will look like something under a strobe light. The reason for this is the use of cheap components (the capacitor, to be specific) on the LED driver circuit. These fixtures are cheap, so you are essentially getting what you pay for! If you are not sensitive to the strobing effect, these are great, but if you get motion sick under a strobe light, these will probably drive you crazy. They are fine for a closet or garage, but I would never use them in a main living area in my house. If you really want to go crazy, try them in the shower! You'll see the individual water droplets falling from the shower head :) ... show more
