I bought these to avoid getting anymore sun damage on my forearms. They are comfortable. But I don't know if they are actually blocking the harmful sun rays. I use with sunscreen.

I tried and returned 6 other types before finding this one. It stretched the most without being completely see-through. Very comfortable and provided very good sun protection even though, like I said, it wasn’t completely opaque when stretched. Yea it will pill or pull a bit over a few days of wearing but that’s expected with this stocking-type of material. Not as tight as I feared (I have big arms) but they occasionally start to roll down near my biceps. The fabric is stretchy and feels nice, but has pulled and gotten small snags from catching of rough surfaces. Not a big issue, but it did happen. Wearing the sleeves makes your arms feel every breeze as if it's cool & air conditioned. Noticably cool, in fact. Love the sensation. I bought these because I'm a driver and my forearm are always in the sun. To avoid sunburn and skin cancer I use high SPF sunscreen but that doesn't stop my arms from feeling the heat. These sleeves do just that. No more sweaty sensation of having my inner forearm resting on the windowsill, no more sun sorch while sitting in traffic. They're excellent. Bought another pair for a family member who gardens, and I'm going to get 1-2 more for myself as extras to swap around as the first set is drying. Oh yes, I hand wash these and hang to dry. I don't honestly recall what instructions came with it about laundry, but they're classified as Delicates as far as I'm concerned. Fit well and stay in place. I wish the material was more porous and breathed better, but overall they work well. I have worn them on four hour rides in peak summer in the desert of Western Colorado. I don’t know how they did it but they are actually cooling in the hot sun. I just kept thinking how cool my arms were when I was working on HVAC equipment on the roof. When I got down I just puked them off, no mess like the spray on sun blocker, also cooler than sun blocker
