Reviewed on September 6th, 2022. We purchased this for our new AC. We had it installed by The AC Team in Phoenix, AZ. Works well once set up. It has current weather on it, but when you look at the forecast for 4 days it is off by 12 to 15 degrees. I called Ecobee tech support and they said it was based on a weather station near me. I mention they should fix it. It should not be off by that much. Other than that it is doing its job and working with Alexa just fine. Also, the app needs to be improved to reflect the current 2022 model when set up. The pictures in the app did not show correctly for this model. I also mention this to tech support. Anyway. A great thermostat and glad I purchased it. 4 Stars because of the weather app is off by 12 to 15 degrees. ... show more

I've been using this for about 2 months now, and I will never go back to a non-smart thermostat. Highly recommend. I also purchased additional sensors to put in the bedrooms which add to the value of this thermostat. Highly recommend.

I replaced a aging Honeywell with this as it had the features I was looking for. I was not disappointed and it worked great right out of the box and integrated with Alexa wonderfully. I like the ability to use the app and change my settings on the fly. I also like its modern look and doesn't look like a typical thermostat. Unit received with optional sensor. Extra sensor has not been implemented at time of this review. Professional HVAC Technician was checking our system on day of product arrival. He reported necessary wires connectors available for installation with our system. Physical installation with no issue. Connection for remote operation requires APP. APP connection through home WiFi. Very happy with Ecobee so far. Setup was easy. My Nests wouldn’t easily work with home assistant or Apple Home Kit. Ecobee is much more open - seems to work with everything. The remote sensors are great for rooms that tend to warm or cool faster than others. Also your thermostat only has to worry about keeping the rooms you are using warm or cool. At night it can ignore the living areas and just worry about my bedroom. ... show more

Tech support was of zero use. The internal thermostat was 10 degrees off the first few days I had the unit. At one point I wanted to make sure the unit I was gauging the temperature by was not faulty so I used two thermostats that were reading the same. They were within a degree of each other but still at 8 degrees hotter than the Ecobee unit was showing. See photo. My son had to look up how to calibrate the thermostat, NOT TECH SUPPORT. Once I figured out how to adjust the unit everything seemed to level out within a degree of accuracy. I can live with that. What was scary was that my AC ran 6 hours non-stop trying to cool down the house. Not energy efficient yet in my book but we'll see how the next month goes and see if it helps. ... show more
