It is a great product! The thing is heavy duty and could hold a big heavy tv even. My tv is a Samsung 32 inch and I wanted a wall mount for my tv that would last a long time, that was also high quality, and that wouldn't stick out behind my tv when it was on the wall. I also wanted something that was easy to install and at a good price with hopefully free shipping. This ECHOGEAR fit the bill perfectly, and out of all the wall mounts I looked at on amazon and walmart.com, I chose this one and it didn't disappoint me at all. It came quickly in the mail, it was a great deal at $35, and it qualified for free shipping. When I opened the box, it is a very nice wall mount, exactly as described and comes with a free hdmi cord- which I'm not that worried about but it was a nice freebie. I had 24 inch studs, and it fit perfectly just as described. It was so easy to install, the instructions were simple so there was no confusion or twenty pieces to assemble like some of the other wall mounts I've seen on here come in like twelve pieces and the metal is flimsy. This wall mount by ECHOGEAR is so worth the price, so thank you very much ECHOGEAR for making this great product and pricing it so well. I'm so glad I decided to go with this product instead of the others. I don't doubt it will last me for many many years, and it has a five year warranty on it! One caveat, if you want an ultra low profile wall mount, this comes pretty close but it's not ultra low profile, you can get your hand behind the tv comfortably to tilt the tv which I like about this, so keep in mind to figure out whether you want to sacrifice hand space behind the tv so you can have an ultra low profile wall mount-which are nice but they have no hand space, and remember to add the width of your tv to ECHOGEARS profile, mine comes out about 5 inches when we added the wall mount profile-which is about 1.9- 2.9 inches, and my tv is about 2.5 inches thick, so it sticks out about five inches in total and I can get my hand just comfortably behind the tv to tilt it. ... show more

    • Amazing Wall Mount Setup!
Simply awesome! Ok....received the mount yesterday and immediately opened the box and read the instructions. Not much to it: Find the correct size bolt needed for your Television and mount the brackets to the back of the Television. It comes with a whole slew of mounting bolt sizes in individually sealed plastic pouches which are labeled so choosing what you need is easy. The mount comes with what seems to be all you will need to mount just about any unit you can find as long as it is rated for wall mounting. I mounted a 2008 "flatscreen" 32 inch Sony T.V. which has a bit of weight to it, around 40 pounds which is the main reason I chose this mount. Next thing to do is slide the two rear mount pieces together and connect them with the included bolts. Then find a spot to put it on the wall and drill the holes needed for the mount. I used a Level to ensure the mount was leveled. Heck, the hardest part was installing the four included LARGE wood bolts into the wood. Suggest you get your ratchet out or use a long wrench for the torque needed. Make sure you drill the holes for the wood bolts using a 7/32 inch drill bit three inches deep. Pretty much required if you want the mount to hold it's rated weight. Oh, before heaving that t.v. onto the wall mount I suggest you unscrew the two retaining bolts on the t.v. brackets. You will see what I mean if you get one of these. Reason being you have to unscrew them almost all the way out anyway to engage the bolts into the wall mount to hold it in place so do it BEFORE you lug that t.v. up onto the wall mount. I didn't and had to take it down again to unscrew the retaining bolts. Not a big deal but I should have noticed this first. That's pretty much it. You will be amazed at how sturdy/strong this mount is and how versatile it is. You can hang the t.v. onto the mounting rail and move it left and right as needed and it does tilt from 0 degrees to a down angle of 15 degrees. Since my t.v. is mounted above me a bit the 15 degree down angle is perfect. When you are done putting this all together you will be surprised at all the bolts, washers etc that are left over. Yes, that is how many different size t.v.'s this unit can accommodate. Pretty amazing wall mount. Especially for the price. Couldn't be more satisfied and I highly recommend this! Oh, one more thing....it comes with a high quality HDMI cable. Had no idea and had ordered a cable when I didn't need to. It is probably in the item description but I missed it. ... show more

I searched a long time before I purchased this item. I selected it because it appeared (based off reviews) to be well constructed and had a larger wall mount so it would be more versatile in terms of where you could hang it. A larger mount will allow for wider range when dealing with stud placement and hanging. Ultimately this is a good product, but I will first highlight the two issues I had with it: 1) I mounted the wall bracket completely level on the wall (see attached photo) but when I attached the TV with the other part of the bracket it was not - it was uneven. I imagine it was a result of one of the attachment pieces (the hook portions that attach to the back of the TV) not being manufactured correctly or defective. I solved it by building a small wedge out of masking tape and placing it between the two pieces (the hook and the wall bracket). So, my TV sits perfectly level now but it would not have without making a modification. 2) The second problem was my wall. I mounted two of the screws into a stud (on the left side) but I could not on the right side due to the spacing in my building. I went to the hard wear store and bough 4 additional screws and mounted the bracket with 8 total. 2 into a stud and 6 into the plaster. The bracket was solid as a rock afterwards. I would suggest that the manufacturer include a few extra screws but this may have been done specially for liability purposes and weight claims. The good things about this item: 1) The instructions are SUPER clear and intuitive. 2) I are a ton of parts to allow of different screw depths and configurations/set ups on the back of TVs. I cannot imagine needing more stuff than provided. 3) If everything goes right, this is a very quick set up. I hit snags as described above, but had it not been for those issues the TV would have been up in under 30 minutes. It took me 4 hours total for reference (including trip to hardware store). 4) It's sturdy, appears to be durable and well-made. 5) It looks good. The product itself looks good (even though you can't see it). And the spacing between the TV and the wall is perfect. 6) Complimentary USB cable was a very nice touch. 7) Shipping was FAST. I got mine in two days using standard. Overall, it worked out for me, but the process did have a few hiccups. I would recommend this item if you are looking for a wall mount. ... show more

This is a great TV mount. It's well made and the TV feels very solid and secure on the wall. The instructions are clear. My TV is a 55" LG, about an inch thick. While lots of different kinds of mounting screws were included, I used the ones provided with the TV instead. The wall plate comes in two pieces and assembles quickly with provided screws. it feels strong once assembled, and after installing it on the wall with the provided lag screws, I had no concerns about its ability to hold the weight of the TV. One small quibble - because the wall plate is in two pieces, the metal piece which joins them together juts up just a bit above the top rail of the mount. This makes it a little tougher to level the mount, since a 2-foot bubble level will not sit flat on the top of the mount. Easy enough to work around by using a smaller level that sits to one side or the other of the top rail. The brackets which are attached to the back of the TV have nice deep catches, so it was easy to fit the TV onto the wall bracket. It dropped right on with the first try. Get a friend to help you for a large TV. You might want to do a little planning about how you are going to tighten the safety screws, which are really only accessible from the bottom of the TV after the TV is on the mount. If you use a lot of tilt for a large TV, make sure there is enough room between the bottom edge of the TV and the wall for a screwdriver to fit between them. All in all, the installation was really easy - maybe a half-hour in total. ... show more

i first brought one at home depots was not sturdy enough and too lite ,so i did more research and check the top and best wall mount out there this ECHOGEAR come up as a good one and after reading the review i took my chances on this one and it was what i read and hope was as sturdy and heavy lil metal steel the instructions was right on .i don't fellow instructions so well but it very easy to fellow ..only have it a week and i am a lil nervous still about it but each day that goes by i get more and more positive and happy about it .i have my tv on a stand .i change it because i have a toddler at home and keep pushing the power button . so had to put it on the wall ..my tv is a 40 " and the mount said it goes up to 70 " it sure feels like it will hold it as long as u set it up right into the stud beams ...and if u want it ti tilt u my want to get a 90 degree cord ..from wat other ppl have said about the screws on the bk of the tv from mount tat they don't fix or work right tat correct if need to use the ones from ur old tv mount if ur tv was on a previous tv stand mount or mix match the screws tat come with this tv mount .. ... show more

Pretty decent mount. Not difficult to install, although the size and length of the lag bolts included is ridiculous. The lag bolts were at least 3" long and like 5/16" or 3/8" in diameter and they give you four to put in a 1.8" steel plate about 12 inches tall. If you used all 4 of them you could probably mount a Buick to your wall..I used two at the top and used like some #12 by 1 Pretty easy to install, although the lag bolts supplied are ridiculous. They are like 5/16" or 3/8" by 3 inches long. If you used all 4 supplied you could probably hang a Buick off your wall. I used two in the top of the 1/8" mounting plate and a couple of #12/1-1/2" drywall screws in the bottom holes of the mounting plate. The mounting plate is like a 1/8" steel plate by 12" tall and maybe 43" wide when extended fully. My only issue was I'm now not as spry as I was before I retired from the electrical trade and I thought no problem hoisting a 55" 40-45lb tv up onto it. Wrong. LOL It took me like 4 or 5 tries to get it mounted and I was so winded and beat up I should have had a set of extra hands to maneuver the tv onto it. the 50" I had up previously was a bit easier. So unless your in great shape or at least 40 to 50 years old, I'd definitely have help arranged to hang a 55" or larger set. I also had a Klipsch sound bar underneath that I laid out to have a 2" gap from. I ended up knocking that off the wall { not a big issue as it only dropped down about 2" onto the top of our built out fireplace that is probably about 2 feet deep ) and had to remount that but a plastic anchor kit and a couple of new holes remedied that. I definitely recommend two bodies to hang anything 55" or larger though!!! ... show more
