This stand is magnetic and gives your clock enough motion to face down when your laying next to your alarm clock. I use my alarm clock to watch Netflix on my side of the bed. But it was tilted up. I needed something that helps it tilt. This did the job perfectly.

Having tried a few different smart speakers out, I would say that for the money, the Echo Show 8 is the best combination of quality, usefulness, cost. I can integrate all my calendars (including work) and get my day's schedule read out to me. Along with news, weather, and so forth I can say that I use this device all the time. I live in a small apartment in NYC, so I have this on my kitchen counter near the front door. I can use it to watch videos, TV while am cooking. Play podcasts when am working from home, or just have some background music going. Am an audiophile, so the sound quality is not great for music IMO, but is comparable to most small Bluetooth speakers. It cannot match the Nest Hub Max sound or picture (since the Nest Hub is bigger), but at the MSRP is way more competitive. If Apple comes out with something to compete against this, like an iPad integrated into a HomePod, that might make me switch since I have a ton of Apple products and services, but as of now, I think this is the best bang for buck smart speaker out there. Haven't really used it as an indoor camera, but in tests that function seems to work great.

I was using my smart phone which is okay but, I would have to usually plug it in. Listening to Sirius XM it would drain the battery some plus talking on the phone etc. Since I got Echo Show 8 it makes everything in my office easier. Keeps track of my appointments, events, schedule, gives weather forecast, and even looks things up for me just asking a question. It's like having a secretary or assistant. I even do video meetings with this. I can see my members and being in a briefing or meeting room. There's so much you can do with this. I read the reviews regarding the newer versions and from what I learned they continuously keep showing advertisements. Echo Show 8 does not which is a plus in my book.

I upgraded to the Echo Show so I could pair my cameras to it and keep an eye on my foster kitties!! I originally ordered a Blink camera for the kitty room, but it would only show a 30 second clip, then it would automatically go back to them home screen... which was a no-go for me. I returned the Blink cam and bought a WYZE camera !! I can ask Alexa to show me the Kitty Cam, and i get a clear, steady livestream of whats going on in the kitty room! The other features of the echo are cool too, but I mainly bought it for the camera compatibility. I like to check on my amazon orders, as well. Highly recommend the echo show; I caught it on a great sale! And if you need a camera/camera system... check out WYZE. Its the best deal out there.

We use this Echo display in our kitchen for recipes, music, and videos while we cook, clean-up, or during casual meals, We love that it tells us the time and current weather per our settings. We like to use it as the "master" to sync our other echo devices to music as we move from the kitchen to the dining and living rooms where the family and guests gather while waiting to eat. The display is large enough to watch videos and easily scroll through recipes. We have also used it to locate and talk to family members in other parts of the house as we have an Echo in nearly every room and even on the covered porch.
