Saw was good straight out of the box. I needed another firewood saw as my 272xp is having oiling issues and is 20 years old now. I couldn't justify getting another pro saw for the amount of work I do now. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of videos and decided to give the echo a try. I cut a full f250 truckload stacked front to back with gas left in the tank. The 272 would have ran out. I expect the echo to get better as I run a few tanks through it. First use out of the box was cutting/logging a large tree that fell. I had a 16" ms170 and it definitely could not have done this tree in a day. The Ehco starts ok. Have to use the choke and decompression. Even when warm I found myself using the choke to start it. Hopefully just needs carb adjustments. Saw starts and runs great. It's a beast. Absolutely no regrets purchasing and love it. I have always loved ehco and am happy to have this saw. The hurricane hit and nobody had any chain saws and were gonna be weeks before getting restocked. Shout out to Amazon for getting this saw to me 4 days after I ordered in the aftermath of the hurricane. Love the saw! ... show more

A friend of mine bought a Husqvarna so that he could cut down a white oak tree stump, needless to say it crushed the Husqvarna , he bought a knife to a gunfight so I bought this echo and I bought a gun to a gunfight it works great and it did the job

Chainsaw will not work, seller is no help. No warranty. Will be costly to repair. Packaging was previously opened. Be aware of who you buy from. Echo does make a good product. I have used Echo chainsaws before and wanted to get one. I guess I got a lemon.

    • Can't go wrong with this chainsaw for all purpose tasks, including light to moderate tree felling.
Very good replacement for a Husqvarna 460. Less expensive than the husky and some parts even appear to be slightly higher quality. Very solid feeling saw.

Plenty of power! Runs great! You can’t beat the timber wolf for the money. I bought the 20” bar and I now wish I had bought the 24” model. After a year and a half I’m still thrilled with this saw!
