  • Best value top handle climbers saw on the market.
If your a homeowner just cleaning up branches and small things around the yard this is not for you. If you are on the ground there are better cheaper and more effective saws for homeowner use cases. This saw is for professional tree climbers. If your gaffing up a tree with a flipline and dont want electric this saw is the answer. For the same money I would rather have two of these on hand rather than 1 ms201. ... show more

  • Best climbing saw!!
Best chainsaw I have purchased!! Reliable, powerful and easy to handle. Compared to other similar size saws, this one is the lightest, smallest and easiest to handle and maneuver. It is the best value for a climbing saw!! I have owned this saw for several years! Highly recommended

  • Super light weight
I bought this power saw to replace my Stihl MS 201tc. I bought a Stihl 201tc, brand new, to replace my Stihl 200 about 10 years ago and the Stihl 201 has been in the shop for about 10 years now. It has never worked and I didn't know what else to do, so I bought an Echo. I might be an Echo guy from now on. This little saw kicks ass! I've been running nothing but Stihl for over 30 years and I thought I was a lifetime Stihl enthusiast. My experience with the Stihl 201tc might be the end of that relationship. The Echo cs2511t has shown me that Stihl is not the only option for a quality climbing saw. I've run about 10 tanks of fuel through the Echo and I'm loving it. I hope it holds up, but even if it doesn't, it has already done what my Stihl 201 never did, which was pay for itself. ... show more

  • little beast
this saw is a little beast. it may look like a cute little toy but when you start cutting with it you can really feel its power. i work an agroforestry project in hawaii and this is my main saw. the lightweight design allows me to work when its hot and humid without too much fatigue, fits into tight spaces easily and cuts everything its chain touches. this saw has only struggled one time when cutting, i was cutting and 24 inch ohia (very hard wood) log, i forgot to bring my big ms250 stihl saw, it bogged a little and didnt rip through the wood as it normally does, it did cut it though, just slower and with a little more difficulty. keep up your maintenance regular, sharpen or change chains regularly and watch this thing go! ... show more

  • underpowered boat anchor
if you are a home owner and want to cut a two or three 2 inch batches up that happen to fall off a small tree. Then this saw might be for you. If you are a farmer or any where near being a pro this saw is a total waist of money. If I could do it over I would just go spend double the money and get 8 times the power from a Stihl or Husky. I hope this helps you in making an educated decision. Thank you. ... show more

  • It's adorable
This chainsaw is great. Should have bought sooner. I was hesitant because of price tag, but it's worth every penny. Just trimmed some red lipstick palms today. Small size was perfect to skeeze thru all the trunks. The saw is very powerful and just perfect for pruning, trimming, etc. Note that it's hard to judge the actual size from the picture. The saw is super compact, the shipping box it cam in fit in my largish mailbox! ... show more

  • Love it and hate it.
Sure there’s a lot of power in a very lightweight size. It feels great to saw large trees with a tiny saw. It’s fun. Those are the pros. The cons: starting the saw is great half the time and frustrating the other half. Once it gets some use you’ll notice it waver from the good path. You’ll end up with a love hate relationship. Cleaning the saw filter helps with poor starting. The price for what you get I think is the biggest slap in the face. It’s a good saw but shouldn’t cost anymore than 350. It’s all plastic shell. Lost the plastic piece that goes over the fuel lines on top first day. I’m going to keep using it till I can’t but I bought it to compare it to my Milwaukee m18 hatchet. The hatchet is slightly heavier but starts every time and has slightly slower cuts but by no means less efficient in regards to power. Biggest difference is about 3 inches less bar length. So cutting anything wider than 8in dbh will be a struggle. ... show more
