Below is a description of what happened with my first set of batteries. It was a problem, that seemed very big at first, then kind of resolved as I experimented, then was made completely better by outstanding customer service! My new EBL batteries and charger are working perfectly, as expected, and… my old ones (strangely) seem to be doing fine now too! I plan to follow a different method of use with my new batteries now. It is advertised here, that these batteries have very low self-drain when stored, “80% at 3 years”. However, I had zero voltage at a year and a half of storage (uninstalled). However, today I found in the instructions a statement that stored batteries should be used (drained) and recharged every 3 months. That seems to be a very important difference, and I will be following that. My old batteries, that had reached 0 voltage, (of which one was blinking indicating no longer chargeable) have all taken an charge and appear to be doing okay. Although, I can not know now what may have happened to the overall lifespan. My review started with a one star rating, but have changed it because my new set is working quite well. I would purchase these again, but not for long term storage. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW: So, these (1st set) were awesome for one use. I cannot speak to how they perform with daily use. Their stored shelf-life is very bad, all 4 @ 0 volts when tested (about 1.5 year, uninstalled). 3 of them do appear to have charged again without a problem. One appears to be totally dead, and is not charging. I am going to try a couple tricks, but I am not sure I can restore it. I will not purchase more of these. UPDATE: I put the one that would not charge on a more powerful charger, for a couple minutes, to shock it. (Not recommended, but it worked.) It was then recognized by the compatible charger. So, then all 4 charged for… the whole day… and the lights stayed red, never turned green. I finally took them off and checked them. They all tested around 1.48 volts, and the same the next day, So, I am going to try to continue using them, and hope that after a few more charge/use cycles, the lights on their charger will turn green as they are supposed to do, when the batteries are charged.

I'm disappointed in the quality of one of the batteries in the 4 pack. It will not hold a charge. I use the Batts in a golf gps device. It takes 2 aa Batts but if using the bad battery it only lasts 3 holes. The other Batts work fine. From this standpoint EBL must be making 25% scrap. The Batts are brand new. UPDATE: I have upgraded this review from 3 to 5 stars because of customer service. The seller offered me a complete refund or 4 new batteries. I chose the new Batts and have taken some time to test them. All seem fine now. Thanks.

These batteries were carefully packaged in genuine EBL boxes with the charger. They arrived very quickly and they were in a heavy duty shipping box with a battery warning label which was also really great. The charger is simple and nothing fancy which works for me. These batteries did require charging when I received them which wasn't a surprise. I charged them by the instructions as specified in the provided user manual. After allowing them to sit 24 hours after charging I tested these batteries with a voltage meter and all four batteries tested right at 1.50 volts. They seem to last twice as long as the other brand of rechargeable battery per charge I was previously using in a portable radio that drains most batteries down quickly. Lets see if they last 30 days and I can add more information to my review. I wish that I could buy more of these red AA 1.5V EBL 3000mWh batteries separately. The quality seems to be pretty good so far yet truthfully I did think the cost was on the expensive side. I have used everyone's brand of rechargeable batteries this is my first purchase of this brand so as I have said before I will provide more information after 30 days of use. 11/15/2020 - Update. They have been re charged every 3 to 7 days now in the charger they came with. I power FM radio reciever with them they work amazing. When tested with a fluke meter each battery is right on at 1.50 volts after fully charged no fluctuations. They take at least 12 hours to recharge in provided charger they do not get warm when charging which might seem like a long time yet I don't mind it is worth the wait. I wish I could buy just the batteries because they are the best rechargeable batteries I have ever used or another charger with 8 batteries instead of four. The only other thing that could be an issue is they might be a little bit bigger I haven't measured them. I mention this because they seem to fit tighter in my radio in both lenth and width its not much of a difference yet you can notice it. Im still very pleased with these batteries.
