Received my bike this afternoon and just came back from my first 15 mile ride on an ebike. All I can say is that was really great and even though the Amkyet gb26 turned to be larger and heavier than I expected it is a wonderful product. The assembly instructions leave a bit to be desired but the procedure is not all that complicated. The bike has more than amble power and torgue to get you where you want to go safely and with great ease. I have not used it as a mountain bike so the concern re: breaks may be a real one but in the city and on general bike paths the mechanical breaks are more than adequate. The 5 PAS options take you from an effortless 12 mph to 28-30 with minimal increase in effort. I have family and friends who own electric bikes and they say this a not only a great bike but a great buy. Delivery was faster than promised. Assembly was very easy, they provided all the tools I needed. The bike comes with turn signals and horn. My friends did not, that is huge safety plus! It is very comfortable mostly because the saddle is easily adjustable. The fat tires also make for a comfortable ride, the streets here are very bumpy and I have curised right down them. The battery life has lasted a long time. If you want to go fast, this bike will fit that bill. ... show more

If you're looking for a $700.00 boat anchor...you've found it. The brakes break, the rear wheel will twist out of the frame, twisting the motor wiring beyond repair. Customer "service" will tell you that your warranty is only half the advertised term and shipping costs for replacement parts are on you. These are little more than crappy Chinese junk bicycles, poorly converted to e-bikes. The positive reviews are posted by happy customers that have less than a few weeks of use, the negative reviews are very telling... look elsewhere! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Bought this bike recently and so far I'm very satisfied with it. Excellent price for the features, power and quality. The bike is a bit heavy and the assembly instructions were lacking but overall the bike is great. Bigger than i expected but fast and fun. The instructions were lacking but I figured it out. You may want to consider taking it to a bike shop to have them assemble it properly. Be advised, however, this bike is very heavy. Almost 80 pounds. It's a struggle to lift it up into the bed of my truck. Also, I had to pay over $200 to upgrade the undersized brakes. The brakes that come on it are not strong enough to provide stopping power for such a heavy bike. Otherwise, I'm loving it. I get a lot of jealous looks when I'm riding it. ... show more

4 stars, because it works really good. Not the best instructions or manual. Only had it 3 days and the pedals already broke. I bought it for hunting so I wear boots and the pedals broke today. Fenders kind of slap the wheels. I’m right at 6 foot tall, so if you are under 5’7 definitely will be a tall bike for you. Great power, but I may need to get stronger breaks for it. very much like this electric bike. had some challenge with assembly but was not too bad. it was not charged when i received it and it seemed to fully charge in about 2 to 3 hours. the manual says give it 2 to 9 hours. i road it a total of about 15 miles on day 1 in separate trips and had plenty of charge still left. i was very impressed with the ability of this bike to go up very rough terrain. i am near a logging road with very large course rock and steep grade and it was able to make it up under its own power. i am a novice to e bikes and so did not understand the modes of the battery from 1 to 4 and the bike does not come with an operation manual. so for the first few miles i had it in the default 1 mode and used the gears to shift and peddle up hills. once i figured out that Mode 2 through 4 gives the motor more power i was able to go up relatively steep hills 13%+ under the power of the battery alone. the bike is very well constructed and feel like it will be durable over time. i have not had it that long but overall i would recommend the bike and am considering a 2nd one to purchase for family to have two on hand for rides. very minor downside on couple things is it was missing two nuts for the screws of the kickstand which i can get anywhere. and there were no directions for how to put the fenders and brackets on . and the accessory back carry rack had the arms not really aligned well with the receiving holes which i think i can bend to align but haven't done that yet. other than that, the assembly was not too bad but suggest attention to a few things and as one that doesn't usually read the directions on these things, this was one time i read the entire manual and it was helpful to do that before beginning putting things together. just wish it had a quick start guide or something on the operations side of things. ... show more

I ordered two of these bikes. One for me and one for my husband. Assembly was fairly easy. Unfortunately it is too tall for me. (I'm 5'4). I requested a refund but when speaking to the seller (who is very nice) - we found out we would not be reimbursed the shipping cost that we paid. Bummer! Seller said for keeping the bike, they will send us two bike locks which I thought was very nice. My husband has ridden his a few times now and he loves it! The green color is very sharp looking. Would recommend for anyone maybe 5'6 or taller. ... show more
