Switched to Morton foor no particular reason, from non name brand stuff from Walmart. Somehow, water doesn't have theat slimy feeling and it's keeping water spots from forming so I know it's working correctly. Pretty happy with this stuff

If you have a large water purification system, your installer showed you that you'll have to add salt now and then -- probably at least every other month. Our installer said not to get the salt pellets (which are readily available around where I live) but to get the crystals instead. These are exactly the right kind. ... show more

This Morton water softener salt is a staple for me for years. How do I tell whether it's working well, or better than other brands? The corner that is pre-scored so that it's easy to tear off makes it easy to pour the salt into the bin. Even if this product isn't any better than those of its competitors, the brand name and the packaging make me loyal to it. ... show more
