Our floor heat quit working. My long time electrician ran a continuity test and reported I must have a broken wire in our system. A new thermostat did not fix the system. I had upgraded to this stat for more flexibility in settings. After 2 years of research, my brother, myself and our tile contractor started from scratch. First, it was discovered the GFI in the stat didn’t work. Second, a prong in the plugin between the base plate and the stat face was bent over. Despite my diligent work to straighten prong still no heat. Did the prong short the circuit board in the stat? Was the new stat bad? Was my electrical just no savvy when it came to floor heat? Regardless, this new stat works and functions perfectly! Just wish I didn’t have to buy two of them to fix the problem. ... show more

Replaced my thermostat that had stopped functioning. The old control (model K 0002102 8) still looked to be functioning because the LCD screen was working but the tiles failed to heat up. Tried killing the power first in hopes of it reseting but without success. Delivery was as promised and the new unit fit like a glove in the original box mounted on my bathroom wall. New control is easier to understand with a larger digital font that is easier to read. Warm toesies again on those chilly mornings in Colorado! ... show more

    • Easy heat , nice and easy
Replaced my 14 year old easy heat that failed. I like this one much better. It was an easy install since the existing wires were still in place. This easy heat is much easier to program with push buttons rather then the older one with one toggle and two buttons. Also, this reads out in actual temperature instead of numbers like 4.5, 7.0, etc. My floor is nice and warm again ... show more

    • GREAT PRODUCT!
This digital unit replaced the original analog type. The biggest improvement was the wiring installation as the old type used a small 'pin' type screw (block) with connectors. The new GTS1 unit is much cleaner making the installation go much quicker. Be careful with the 2 sensor connectors though as they can be tedious to deal with. I found another set of hands to be very useful when holding the unit while these 2 wires are installed into the 'spring type' holder ... show more

    • Great replacement for heated bathroom floor.
When we had our heated floor installed the original thermostat died in under a year. I was lazy and it took a year of my family reminding me how nice heated floors would be before I bought this. Installation was quick and easy. I was up and running in under 30 minutes. Programming was also easier on this model than on the one I replaced.     • Buyer beware! Did not work
This item did not work at all. This was ordered to replace a previous/defunct thermostat. I installed this per standard wiring procedure/guides and it powered on enough to set a time in program. However, once floor warming started it immediately tripped off and indicated a GFI fault. I contacted customer support from warm tiles who listened to my concerns and confirmed appropriate wiring. They then told me that I would need to get an electrical contractor to come and evaluate the product to ensure that it is appropriately connected. Unfortunately, my electrician was on a vacation at the time. Once he came to my house, he confirmed his appropriately wired. He confirmed that voltages were all correct and that there was no other short in the circuit. He could find no other explanation other than this particular thermostat was defective. I initiated a return with Amazon the same day however, after doing this extensive troubleshooting, Amazon now says, I am outside the return window by a few days and would not accept return. I contacted seller in hopes that they would allow a return and/or exchange but have not heard back. It's very much seems that I was sold a non-functional thermostat now with no option to correct this ... show more

We redid our master bathroom a few years ago and put in a heated floor. I was amazed at how much we missed it when it broke. This thermostat and 10 minutes work and HeyPresto the floor is warm again. Good product; great service and warm feet. What more can you want!
