I was looking for a mixer for a wide range of applications. I needed only a few channels to mix a couple of instruments and one microphone, but also wanted to be able to mix music for parties (with DJ slider function). I also liked the Bluetooth/USB capabilities which is great for playing a playlist around the house on weekends. I like the flexibility of being able to connect just about any kind of existing input source. The mixer came quick, well packed, on time. The packaging is adequate with foam protection inside. The product looks professional, high quality materials, great finish, good smooth feel of all buttons and sliders. For the price, it's an excellent entry-level mixer for many applications including musicians, party mixing, PA for events, even for recording. My set up is as follows: first going through an Equalizer then into a true 100W Yamaha amplifier, then to high-quality speakers. The quality of the sound is impressive, clean and w/o distortion or hum, smooth mixing action, also able to listen to the next track from any source with the Cue function before mixing it in ... in short, so far I am very happy with the result. I bought this on a whim for a small DJ table project I've been dreaming of using two vintage garrad turntables and the size of this little guy fit perfectly for what I needed. it is a little gawdy, but that can be overlooked for it's performance now, this is a >$50 mixer: you're not going to be getting anything astounding. this will NOT complete with the larger or more robust mixers that I have in my arsenal. the sound quality is "meh" but it's easy to use and super compact. however, that size does make it hard to mount this into a cabinet since the RCA connects are mounted at the rear. still, for the money, this is a great little unit for learning the basics OR for just swapping between turntables. ... show more

Update on 2/6/23 had the product a couple weeks and using only one input source it was great. It removed hum from laptop. However I got an iPhone aux adapter and hooked it upto channel 1 and laptop to channel two. And if I have it faded to channel 2 but the cue is on channel 1, channel 1 bleeds through at low volume. And vice versa. Basically cue has to be on the channel you want to play or it’ll bleed through. This is exactly what I needed to mix microphones, laptop, and Bluetooth. Great sound, everything sounds much better with this in the mix it actually removed hum between laptop and powered speakers. ... show more

    • Using this mixer with smartmike+ in master/slave mode for Zoom meetings

We are using mikes to get audience participation in a church class that is also on line. We feed it with Smartmike+ BT mikes in master/slave mode so that the speaker and the audience both go through one input in Zoom. We had to supply a line audio to USB digital converter to make the output work with the Mac. The bluetooth link is great for playing music from an IPhone but I wish I could pair a Smartmike directly to it. The USB port didn't support a USB mike either but was designed for a thumb drive with music files. This is great little DJ system that we've adapted for Zoom meetings and looks like it will do really well. Telephone tech support was poor as was the documentation - at least for our application. ... show more
