  • Good solid reeds.
Size: 2.0 Color: Jazz
These EastRock Jazz Alto Saxaphone reeds are natural cane and it shows with the patterns on the outside and the random spots. That makes no difference in the reed's performance. These are not high dollar reeds, but they are plenty good enough for outdoor performances or practice or even performing in some situations (school, etc...). I am giving them five stars though because of the value they represent. These are reeds that you can just put on your saxophone and play and they are priced very reasonably. I would recommend these for someone starting out or looking for solid practice reeds. As you can see from the pictures, the cut is good and the quality is fine. ... show more

  • Not the best quality but as low cost reeds acceptable
Size: 3.0 Color: Traditional
This reed are not the best quality but as low cost reeds acceptable. They are made in China, so I have to assume that is a different reed specious than the reed from France. I believe further that the treatment is different, much faster and not so careful. The product is lower in quality. The dimensions and the shape of the different reeds differ, something you don't want see in your batch. They are filed, and single rapped in a plastic rapper and a plastic case. The first impression is they are hard to play, but I got a 3 while normally playing a 2.5. So , this is something I expected. So I will give them some credit for that. When I ordered the 3.0 I hoped to get a fuller more vibrant sound. I compared than wit a Sysos Arcan unfiled 2.5 and Vandoren Traditional 2.0 filed. The Eastrock reeds don't even come close to the same result, even the are higher in strength. I can recommend them for practice but not for performence. ... show more
