I played it for a few hours in a rehearsal for the firts time, and I was like YA YA, this is smooth as silk. Lower notes where I sometimes struggle were clear and pure. Wow, what a unit. Blends the best parts of standard pieces like the Otto Link STM with the power and volume of Ponzol pieces. It's bright and edgy but (and this is important) perfectly controllable. I was hunting for the right piece for a while and this fit the bill. Similar pieces that I tried and had components of what i was looking for but did not meet expectations as well as this piece include: Dukoff D9, Guardala MBII (similar tip opening to the 8* i bought but not as projecting and feels a bit cheap), Ponzol M2 (very good but falls just short; this piece is much easier to blow), and Link STM. If you're looking for volume - and versatility - I can't think of a better option. Skip the rest and buy - you won't be disappointed. FYI I went with the 8*

Honestly for the money, you would expect to get a decent product but my mouthpiece came dirty and rusted. Very disappointing especially since I’ve been wanting this mouthpiece for a while now.

This is a screaming mouthpiece, with high baffle for cutting edge. It's great in a loud band playing aggressively. Altissimo with ease. Paired with a Rovner Versa X2M ligature.

Straight out of the gate!!!!! The JodyJazz SUPER JET METAL Tenor Mouthpiece was everything I was looking for in a mouthpiece. It delivered in the low, middle, high, and especially in the altissimo register. I’m really enjoying my SUPER JET MOUTHPIECE. In my opinion it has similarities in make to the Dukoff metal mouthpiece, thank God it’s not made of soft metal like the DUKOFF . That’s why my title is, to buy a DUKOFF without buying a DUKOFF
