Been looking for ever for a light hard-shell contoured soprano-sax case with backpack straps. Seems solid construction and closes tight. Be aware it is very compact, so there is little space for extra mouthpieces and reeds. Liked it so much I bought the baritone version, and it is similarly nice and hard and lightweight, though it seems to properly close the latches on the bari case I have to carefully align the two halves of the case...but once the latches are secured (and they seem pretty secure) then I feel confident that they will hold the case closed tightly. This is the best instrument case I have ever owned and ever seen. It's color and sheen are beautiful to look at, and its holds my saxophone with the utmost security. The engineering of the clasps is none short of miraculous. It holds the necessities for a gig perfectly. Although there is no storage room for additional accessories (pencils, boxes of reeds, repair tools, stand light, etc.), I keep these in a separate tool box with my woodwind stands and this presents no difficulty. The quality, craftsmanship, and beauty of this case exceed those of cases far more expensive. I only wish a similar model for oboe and English were available! ... show more

Loving this case so far. Well constructed, light weight, and fits my horn perfectly. Would NOT attempt or recommend checking this case underneath an airplane for travel though as I do not believe it would survive the rigors of airline luggage handling. That said, it is great for use as a lightweight carry on, but it is definitely NOT a flight case. Comfort: Very comfortable on the shoulders Weight: Very little weight added to the actual instrument. Protection: Solid build and protection for your instrument while in personal transit. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Because of the design and TSA lock feature(s). Don't buy this if you want your horn to stay in place. We purchased this for my son's Yamaha Alto Sax. It bounced around inside of the case like it had no molding at all - the fit was not meant for his horn. I tried it with my Keilworth, even worse. There is not a good storage solution for reeds, cleaning, supplies, or the gooseneck. Though it does look sharp, I do not recommend this product to keep your horn safe. ... show more

Meh, it’s ok. The case was great and my alto sax fits perfectly. However some items shown in the picture such as the pouch for my alto sax neck and other accessories weren’t included. The weight and price is mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend it since it didn’t come with all the items and for a price like this, it isn’t what I was expecting . ... show more

Very stylish. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Not the best padding inside as it pertains to absorbing any shock, however, I’d definitely say that it’s a couple of steps up from a gig bag. Glad someone has thought forward enough to make a contoured case for the curved soprano sax player. Instrument fitment is nice… not too awkward. Shell seems well made. Strapping is fine. I wish the clasps on the ends of the straps were a little less bulky. Storage space is okay. Wish the pocket was a little better designed. I’m hoping the finish stays in tact. I haven’t had a problem with the latching as of yet. The TSA lock option is a plus. * I’d like to throw this in for anyone who flies… if you decide to wear this case as a carry-on, and you decide to place the case in an overhead bin during your flight, I would recommend that you find a decent canvas drawstring bag to place your case into to protect the finish from scratches and blemishes from possible sliding and incidental contact with other luggage. (Hope this helps) ... show more
