We love our dining room table set! It's quality-made from solid hardwood at an extremely reasonable price. And we love the styling and look. But our circumstances might not match yours. We had been searching for a new dining room set locally and on Amazon during the height of the pandemic. Everywhere we looked had a delivery delay of 4-6 months. Finally, this set popped up, so we jumped on it. I had read many of the negative reviews but still felt confident this would work for us. And the real deal closer was Amazon's furniture assembly service. Between my Amazon and Ikea purchases, I have had enough furniture assembly to last a lifetime. The Amazon guys showed up, unloaded, assembled all eight chairs and table, removed all the boxes and packing materials (including vacuuming up the little styrofoam crumbs) and were gone in an hour! All for $89. And BTW, at the time of our purchase, this set was a little more than a $1000, including assembly fees. This is why Jeff Bezos is one of the richest men in the world. My wife and I are retired, so admittedly, the table does not get the rigorous daily workout our solid oak kitchen table does, but it has held up fine for family gatherings and holiday celebrations. I did read where one reviewer had problems with water spots, so I ordered a dark furniture wax and put a couple of coats on and buffed it out and it looks and performs great. No spots. I needed a large table for my eat in kitchen since my new house does not have a dining room. I wanted something comfortable and sturdy; nice looking but casual. I wanted a place for people to sit comfortably and hang out so I wasn't stranded in the kitchen doing work while they were having fun somewhere else. I think this set is perfect for my needs. I have some health issues where sitting on a hard chair for any length of time causes me discomfort. I am not a fan of upholstery on kitchen chairs because of the clean factor, but at this point I need it, and no longer have small children (there is also an option with this set to have all wood chairs). The microfiber is a great compromise for the neat freak vs the comfort freak. I have not had any spills yet, but I can tell already it will be easy to clean. For now I just wipe the seats with a dry microfiber cloth in case anyone left crumbs. My previous table was oak and it had one large removable leaf. The leaf was heavy and I always had issues getting it in and out on my own. This butterfly leaf is such a better idea. It makes the table itself heavier, but I don't have to move it that often, and when I do it is only a few inches to clean underneath. I assembled everything but the last little bit of the table myself, and I just needed help because of the weight of it. The assembly takes time especially because I got 8 chairs, but it is not difficult and I found a ratchet and a cordless drill/driver was helpful in saving time (an electric screwdriver would also work I'd think but I've never owned one). The rubberwood is a different look and feel than my previous oak table, but I like it. Rubberwood is from trees used to provide latex and when they dry up they are cut down and new ones planted, so it is a good environmental choice for me. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the clasps to close the butterfly leaf was a little offset and I cannot close it, although the others are fine. I could fix it but it really hasn't caused any issue and I worry about drilling another hole so close to the first for the durability of the table in the long run. This will take a lot of time to assemble. The unpacking takes just as long as the assembly. Each 2 chairs are boxed and wrapped. A lot of boxes to open. Chairs were funky to assemble but got through it fine. Take your time. Placing the table on the pedestals was a challenge need a 2nd person at least and you kind of guess where the holes align. Very awkward. The bolts to attach the table to the pedestal also a challenge to reach but it can be done. Was not thought out well on that part. Table is heavy so get some help. Again, hate the Allen wrench bolt method takes so much longer hand cranking those things. Drill wholes were premium and aligned well. Do it in stages and not all at once. This dining set is not what I really wanted. I expected something larger in structure. We’ve had it for a couple of months now and now I realized that it fits and looks great in the small dinning area. The table and especially the chairs are heavy. Never have we ordered a large item before but the delivery was on time and packing was absolutely done with outmost consistency. The product was delivered by expected date. The look and shape of the dining table is very good. The instructions to assemble the parts is very good and easy. It is not expensive as well. My only disappointment is with one of the chairs which cracked while screwing the screw labeled as M4x40mm or screw 5 to the one of the rear legs of the chair. This chair obviously is unusable as it is wabbly (not sturdy) raising the question as to the quality of the material used to produced the entire set. In other words, this makes me think that the quality of the material used for the table questionable, not what says it is. Time will tell how long the table will last now with only 5 instead of 6 chairs. Generously, this is why I gave it a 4-star instead of 5. ... show more

It was so scary to buy a dining room set on Amazon, but it was worth the leap of faith. It arrived in a timely manner, earlier than expected. It’s a lovely set with a clever design to hide the table leaf when it’s not being used. It feels like very good quality and my husband was able to assemble it easily in a few hours. One chair had a slight crack in it. We contacted the seller who helped us work with Amazon and it was replaced. Great service from both this seller and Amazon.
