My only issue was that the table came a week earlier than was expected (not a bad thing) but I had planned to have help moving it later. I was also led to believe that it would be delivered to my door, instead it was delivered on a pallet to my garage, which made it a bit trickier to move into my house. Table looks great and feels solid. I would not trust standing or sitting on it though. We only gave it 4 stars because they went a little cheap on the hardware and better quality would have gone a long way here. We did need to go around entire table and tighten all pre-installed screws. We found many of them loose. We did need to replace 2 screws that held the corner you attach leg to because they were not long enough or the holes were not drilled correctly. Using slightly longer screws solved the issue. We did need to return the first table we received because the table leaf support was not installed correctly and had same issue with the holes not being drilled correctly. They were quick to respond but they did need to contact manufacturer to get an answer on how to handle the situation. It did take about 2 or so weeks to get the second table. Chairs are great and feel sturdy but do take a bit of time to put together. We did have some issues with hardware quality. Two chairs had bushings that were poorly tapped and gave us trouble with assembly. Overall, the whole set is pretty and sturdy once we fixed the issues but they could have done better with the quality check before shipping from manufacturer. We would definitely recommend this company and would buy from them again. For the price of a solid wood table set, it can't be beat. ... show more

I was somewhat skeptical but based on the reviews I decided to purchase it. I have to say it’s very well constructed and looks great. It was well packaged and the directions were very easy to follow. It’s solid wood construction which is what I wanted along with the built in drop leaf. I’ve been looking for a table like this for quite some time but the prices were about double in a furniture store so all in all this is a great buy and I recommend it. ... show more

The East West Furniture Lynfield 7 Piece Kitchen Set with Rectangle Table and Butterfly Leaf arrived without incident. The packaging to protect the table and chairs during shipment was outstanding. No damage to chairs or table, even though there were holes punched in the cardboard. Setup was easy, with easy to read instructions and visual diagrams for those who prefer to look at the pictures and not read the instructions. Table was heavier than expected and sturdy, which was a nice surprise. But the biggest surprise was the chairs, firm with great padding on the seat. They look good and will be enjoyed for years. Great purchase and thank you, East West Furniture! Updated - Table went from 5 stars to 1 star. I started to find 2 inch screws under the table and I noticed a noticeable sag in the table. After examining the problem the 2 inch screws that hold the slide rails are too short. They go into the wood 1/4 inch and came out on there own. The wood the screws were located is now pulled apart and they just fall out. Tried longer screws without success. See pictures of assembly problems. Very frustrated with the table and would not recommend. Update: Contacted East West Furniture on November 28, 2023, they said they were looking into the issue and would get back with me. OK I know nicer than expected sounds silly but after the last dining set I ordered online I didn't have my expectations set too high. In addition there were only two reviews here when I placed my order BUT they were 5 star reviews. Let me just say this is a really nice set. First its all real wood with NO particle board. The finish is top notch. I had a really good feeling about the set as I was unpacking it judging from the care they took to pack it. Assembly was super easy but I will say that I have put together many a piece of furniture in my 66 years. The table took about 15 minutes and maybe 15 minutes for each chair. If you are completely intimidated by the thought of putting something together then pay the $100 or so to have Amazon assemble it and you still will have an excellent value in a dining set. My wife and I are so happy with this purchase. I would say that the quality is easily on par with higher end furniture stores. Side note: we like this set so much we ordered two additional chairs. Could have bought the set with six chairs but didn't think we needed them. But after seeing the quality we decided to have the two extra chairs around now rather than being disappointed if they didn't have them later on down the road if and when we decided we needed them. ... show more
