So, my current apartment is smaller than my previous 3-bedroom house. I had been using a full size dining table, but, darn, it took a lot of space and space is at a premium here. I decided to look for downsize options. I found this table and chair set and it looked good and the reviews were favorable. It was priced at around $750 or so, but I waited a week or two to get serious about ordering one. Suddenly, the price shot up! First to around $1,000. or so, and then it increased again to over $1,250!! I put off the purchase to look for other alternatives at a lesser price point. I continued to watch the pricing, and then one day, it dropped back down to around $750. or so. Since I had learned a lesson about waiting, I waited no longer and quickly pushed the “buy” buttons! It arrived about a week and a half later because of large and heavy shipping required. It came in several boxes with chairs and table parts in individual boxes. The chair boxes were not super heavy, but the table box was more than a single person should wrestle with solo. I managed to move the parts to my dining area and commenced with the final assembly. It was easy to assemble with clear and understandable instructions and all tools and hardware were provided with the package. A screwdriver is also required. Finally, it was done! Quite a beautiful final dining set and I just had to stand and stare at my completed little project! I moved the large table out and it was donated to local thrift store. I moved the new set into the dining area and was very pleased with the way that things had come together. Now here is the explanation of the fragile description. The surface areas of the table and chairs scratch and scuff at even the most minor of contact and use. Beautiful to the eye when new, but I now have no expectation of them remaining that way. I have repaired a few gouges with artist paint and a brush, but it is evident that there was a deep scratch there. If someone enjoys a “seasoned” look of scratches and surface imperfections, this set will satisfy that requirement. For me, I’ll just have to exercise extra caution with use. I still recommend this dining set, but wanted to review how normal use will impact the look. I would purchase it again at the $750 price point, but not the $1,000 or $1,200 price point. And please consider how it will be used. Probably not advisable with kids in the house as it will impact the look in a very short period of time. There you have it. Very nice looking set. I got the 4 chair set. It’s 4 boxes for the whole set. It took about 2 weeks for my order to arrive. It’s all wood, and very sturdy. I like that the leaf is hidden in the table top, and folds out. My old table you had to store the leaf when not using it. Look at the video on here for table assembly. No chair video, but the instructions included are easy to follow. The only extra tools you’ll need is Phillips Head Screwdriver for the 2 chair screws. Very happy with my table, and glad I got it in time for Christmas. Marked it down a star because my first order from the Amazon Warehouse arrived with the table top only, no bottom, or chairs. I got a refund, and had to reorder it. ... show more

Couldn’t ask for a nicer table and chairs for the money. Paid $800. with tax. Live upstate New York and delivery took about a week from Texas. It takes a little time to put chairs together but be patient and do it right the first time. It takes about half an hour per chair and the same with table. It has a 18” leaf in the middle underneath the the top and when table is open up it expands from 42” round table to 60” oval table. It’s all well built for the price. ... show more

We all know furniture these days are no longer built to last. The Want you buying new furniture within the next 5-10 years. We needed a breakfast table for our kitchen, and this was a great, sturdy buy!! We like to use it for the 4-5 of us living in the home. There are 6 chairs, 1 table which you can keep round or pull out into an oblong shape. Now, the oblong size is good, but the round table is a little small for us. Still a great buy and looks really nice, true to the advertised pictures. 😊 ... show more

The table is ok, not very impressive, chairs are too small, almost looks like a child's table overall. I paid $650 and soon after the price has jumped over $1,500. Is it worth $650 yes, but NOT $1,500. Went together well fairly easy assembly. Shipping was Horrible!! Took 3 weeks, my delivery date was set for 3 weeks. Waited at home that day, and noticed the delivery was changed day of delivery to pending. Did a lot of research find a number to contact ceva. Had to wait over 10 min to get someone, was advised would be delivered tomorrow. Next day waited all day ended up on the phone for over 2 hours, as No one knew where the table was. Ceva the delivery company had contracted the delivery to yet another company. They ended up setting another delivery next day by 2pm. Again no one shown up. Ended up on several more phone calls. Driver ended up delivering later that day had to rush back home to meet him. I would not order this table again considering the shipper seller is using, And the table is less than expected. ... show more
