I love this table. It's the perfect size for my downsized apartment. At 42 inches it seats 4 very comfortably. I have not yet extended the butterfly leaves. The package for the tabletop was torn during delivery and I held my breath & crossed my fingers for no damage as I unwrapped it. It was wrapped very securely and there was no damage. This package was oversized and HEAVY so I'm not surprised it took a bit of a beating. I absolutely needed a strong friend to help me get this up a steep flight of stairs to my apt. The option was to disassemble the box outside and bring up the parts individually. The tabletop would have still been terribly heavy! The instructions were great. The packaged hardware was separately labeled with an extra washer, locking washer and nut included "just in case." The needed tools were included. It went together very easily, a testiment to great design. It's incredibly sturdy with no wobble thanks to the leveling nubbins on the bottom of the legs. There is absolutely no movement as I lean on one side, either. I am completely pleased. The color, style and visual weight is a beautiful match to my existing chairs. My friend claimed it looks like the table was built for my chairs. My apartment now feels like a home! ... show more

We recently moved and downsized our larger table. We still need seating for when the kids and grandkids come, so this table works great (because we add a card table when the lot of them converge). The price point was nice and it was delivered promptly - in front of our garage door - my poor delivery human, I know you meant to set it somewhere else but it was The Season Of The Box here and, well, I'm grateful that it tis not in the ditch somewhere. I give 4.5 stars on the delivery. The table was easy to assemble, but even easier with another human to help. Choose a human that tis not salty with you, though, or you may be left unexpectedly holding your table top -alone. It's sturdy enough but loses a star because its finish scratches fairly easy. Like, if someone is still salty over a small cardboard situation 'taking over the garage', and passes the potatoes a bit too aggressively, the finish is gonna scratch. The wood is softer so I recommend using place mats or a table cloth for heavy use. Or, just *pass* your potatoes instead of sliding them. ... show more

arrived broken but didn't know it because we couldn't assemble until a month later. Surgery and other complications. Seller, OJ Commerce said too bad, even though the 30 days had not expired. They said check with East West East West wasn't too responsive since they are a reseller for China and said it was OJ's problem, but East West has a 6-month warranty that covers defective products, not wear and tear. If the products are damaged during transit, it will be the seller’s responsibility. This is the info that I sent: "We were not able to unpack and assemble the table until yesterday (2-5) because my wife had spinal surgery (1-9) and I have a mobility problem (87 yrs old). Two carpenter friends of ours started to assemble the table yesterday only to discover one side of the wooden movable track was broken. Consequently, the table will not close. Apparently, the tabletop carton was damaged in shipment...probably dropped although there was no apparent carton physical damage. We wonder if a replacement wood tract is available unless you have some other remedy in mind. I don't believe we need a replacement top as our carpenters are attempting to repair the damage. By the way, the table is perfect for application...very well made. Hoping to hear from you". East West still doesn't understand, all we wanted was a replacement part in case the repair failed, and we would pay for it. Two poor companies to deal with...very disappointed. I have no real complaints here. I loved that it matched my chairs perfectly which I did not want to replace. I did freak out for a few days as the base of the table arrived a few days before the actually table but when I looked in my list of orders, it had it listed as being delivered even though I was well aware that it was arriving in 2 separate boxes. I just didn't expect it to arrive several days apart so be aware that that's possible if you order it. Other than that - I would definitely say this is a great deal and a well made item.
