We are van lifers who go out on trips of up to 3 months. This was one of the best camping purchases we ever made. It is easy to set up. In fact, just the other day it seemed to pop up all on its own. The best feature is protection from mosquitoes and black flies. The tent is also great in the rain. To our surprise, it does not leak at all because the seams are pre-sealed. And in windy conditions, as long as you use the tie downs, it stays up. We have yet to use the sand bags for wind, but that is another option. The built-in rain and wind panels also double as privacy screens. Because we are traveling in a van with limited space, the tent serves as an extra room. We were able to get a table and chairs in there as well as all of our dish washing equipment and lots of other things that can make van life very crowded. Folding during breakdown was also very easy as long as you watch the videos a couple of times and practice at home before you go out on the road. Overall, a great value for the money, because more expensive tents do not even include the wind and rain panels.

We are loving our 12x12 pop up tent. I thought the 12 foot would be too big for camping spaces but it’s perfect! We can fit our pop up kitchen, tables and chairs for a great glaming experience. Keeps the wind out very well. The bottom skirts are perfect for setting rocks on to secure it to hard ground when stakes don’t work. Easy to put up, and a little tricky to put away the first few times. Very happy with our experience so far.

Easy to set up, but somewhat challenging to fold for storage. We liked the large screen windows and the attached wind walls. It is well made and is plenty large enough to store goods and keep out of rough weather when camping. The support poles work well to strengthen the ceiling and walls. It comes with plenty of stakes and attached tie downs. It is a great addition to our camping inventory.

This is very handy to connect my SUV to the East Oak Pop Up Canopy Screen Tent, is very well made and a good quality materieal. However, it is a little pricy for what it is lacking. I was in a spot that was tight, so I couldn't strech things out for a perfect fit, but the issues quickly became clear. This piece really should have a floor and the zipper should go all the way around to connet to the door opening, creating a nice tight encapsulated connection. As you can see in this photo, there are clear gaps where small (or not so small) animals can enter while you are sleeping to potentially raid food or garbage. Measured out, I should be able to easily stich on a 6'x6' canopy to the base, and use some clips or velcro to easily create a more secure connection and space. However, I would love to see East Oak incorporate these improvements. I will add photos when my modification is complete. That said and because these are listed together, I am only allowed one review, so regarding the 12x12 Pop Up Canopy! This easily car camping a game changer for me. I love this more than a tent that connects to my car, because I can have a view in all diretions, with the quick ability to secure my belongings when I take a hike, or in the event of rain. We experienced heavy rain while camping and this tent withstood the storm and wind very well. I highly reccomend this pop up screen tent. It takes up so much less space and is so easy to setup and take down by myself. It takes me all of 5 minutes, where the previous canopy I used, took nearly 20 min from start to finish. That said, I do have one small concern about the top corners. I can't tell if this is a stress hole that is starting after my first use, or if this is just a spot that has a bit of give, but I have claimed the warrant and will be watching it.

I have camped with this tent once so far, and am very happy with everything about it. I made the mistake of trying to remember how to fold it instead of reviewing the video on how to do it the first time, and I was worried I'd ruined it by bending too hard the wrong way, but after folding & refolding it a few times by carefully following the video instructions the wire frame went back into the right shape to fold smoothly & easily again. I also folded it with the privacy covers rolled up the first time, and that made a few small holes in the screen material on one 'wall'. That taught me to always roll down the privacy flaps besides also using a tarp or outdoor carpet before laying it onto the ground to fold it up. I also purchased a folding 9x12 outdoor 'grass' mat (made of plastic 'fibers') from Amazon seller Pauwer Direct, which worked great both for tucking the bug flaps of this tent underneath the 'floor', and I also used the same mat by simply lifting the tent up to let the 'rug' edges roll outside the tent and flat onto the ground for folding it up when I was ready to break camp. I am an average height, heavyset, older woman who is very out of shape, and I was able to set up & break down my campsite entirely on my own without any help. I purchased the largest 12x12 tent so that I could fit a twin size tri-fold mattress, XL Cabela's cot, and a zero gravity lounge chair to fit inside my tent, using my Yeti cooler as a side-table. I also purchased the East Oak car attachment tube to attach the tent to my car, which attached & fit around my car pretty great, but which in the end I decided not to use after the first day, preferring to zip up entirely to drive my car. Not sure how much I will use the car attachment tube since it turns out that the battery life on my Subaru isn't going to stand up to the hatch being left open all night. I also purchased the East Oak privacy flaps that can be installed inside the tent, so that at night I could leave two screens open to the breeze and close for privacy in the morning without going outside the tent to put down the privacy flaps, which are on the outside, on all six sides. The tent is called 12x12 in the purchase option area, but if you look closely at the description you will see that it is not actually 12x12. My 9x12 mat was too long and a bit too narrow, but pretty darn near perfect. Overall I am extremely happy with this car camping set-up, and I look forward to getting back into better shape by accessing the outdoors comfortably & easily while I recover from an extended health problem that got me very out of shape for camping, which is something that was very important to me, and which I missed while I couldn't do it with my older REI set-up. For a mild weather car camping set up for easy & quick set-up & break-down this is perfect. I love it!
