These chairs are super comfortable and a wonderful addition to our deck. You will definitely need to add a large pillow or a few small pillows in order to sit comfortably because the seat is so long and wide. I have trouble with the narrowness of a lot of outdoor chairs. They have iron bars for sturdiness but dig into the sides of my legs. These chairs are super wide and make for very comfortable seating. They are also SUPER sturdy and I feel comfortable and not like they are going to collapse like some cheap metal outdoor chairs. It's weird - one chair was a breeze to put together and the other one seemed to not have the holes drilled evenly and was more difficult to put together. I've had this set for approximately 3 months and the seat cushions are either coming apart at the seams or cracking. The set is mostly covered when not in use, but I left uncovered 1 night in cookler temps and noticed the defects. The arm rest handles are starting to rust as well. For the price I definitely expected better quality. I've had much cheaper sets for 10 times longer that are still holding up better than this. ... show more

I was looking for some quick and easy patio furniture to arrive before my parents visit. Purchased these as well as the love seat. We like them, seems well made. Only negative is the seat back is a bit far. I plan to put a pillow on each chair for added support.

I would like to focus my review on an aspect I value the most: customer service! Of course the quality of the product is very important (and EAST OAK has it as well), but, for me, it is a consequence of how a company treats people. Companies that treat people with respect will also respect them regarding quality. I had a small issue when I received my new 3-piece set from EAST OAK: for some reason, there were some missing parts inside the delivery package (the first 3 pictures attached show that). I was short in one armchair (for supporting one cushion seat) and also all the screws (and the owner's manual as well). It was a little bit frustrating to receive a new product with missing parts, but it happens. Sometimes, we are the 0.1% of statistical data... (I am hypothetically assuming this only happens in 0.1% of the times...) I immediately contacted Amazon support team and they were also very helpful, leading me to contact the EAST OAK support team in the same day. From that moment on, I started to exchange messages to the support team almost daily and they all were very helpful and kind to me. Throughout the whole process I was positive my issue was going to be solved, because of the way I was being treated. The last picture attached is from this weekend, after I have assembled everything. I am now enjoying my balcony and, as a bonus, I have a great story to tell about it! Finally, but not least important, I would like to mention every person that helped me from the EAST OAK support team (I will put it in alphabetical order to avoid any preference's bias): Chino, Dan, Leslie, Mark and Paul! The manufacturer states that the covers can be machine washed. The back cushion is easy to do, but don’t try to remove the seat cushion cover, there is not enough zíper to allow for the insert to be removed. It broke at the first attempt.
