This is my go-to beach canopy now. After years of hauling the backyard canopies with the metal frame onto the beach, I was finally ready for one that weighed less than 10 pounds to carry. This one fit the bill. Not only is it lightweight and colorful, it takes one person a couple of minutes to set up (2 people in strong wind). It protected us from intense sun for several days and withstood some wind from Hurricane Erin on the OBX. On windy days, we filled the bags up to capacity and half-buried them in the sand for extra support. The poles, straps and canopy fit easily into the storage bag (although it could be a little bigger) and the ease of setup and tear down is fantastic. On windy days, the sidewall is not very helpful as it blows in or out of the tent area depending on the direction of the wind. A couple of clothes pins would help this issue, however. On non-windy days, the sidewall provided more shade against direct sunlight. The tent material is very durable and stretchy. We stretched it to its maximum every day and this tent held up well. It provides enough shade for several people and is even versatile in set up to change with the sunlight (two poles vs. four, moving the poles around, etc.). I highly recommend this canopy for the beach, backyard or any place you need a little more shade. I purchased a bigger, much more expensive shade similar to this one last year from a different manufacturer, and this shade is MUCH better in my opinion.

This 10x10 ft beach canopy is a lifesaver on sunny days! The side walls offer great wind protection and extra shade, and the UPF 50+ fabric blocks harsh sun rays perfectly. It’s tall (6.6 ft), spacious, and surprisingly easy to install. The included sand shovel, guylines, and stability poles make it super secure even on breezy days. Great for families, picnics, or long beach days! 🏖️🌞

This product is awesome for the beach. I wish we would bought one of these years ago! We had 2 of them for our party of 10 and had plenty of room. Setup and take down was a breeze and it stood up to the beach wind really well. Our 2nd tent was from another couple and it was the more expensive Sun Ninja. Ours worked as well or better. The bag for this product was much easier to pack.

Our family is one who usually drags 3-4 umbrellas down to the beach on our yearly trips - heavy, cumbersome, and yes, the occasional end-over-end rolling across the beach in a high wind, praying someone doesn’t get impaled. Ordered the is against my husband’s wishes for our family of 9 adults and two babies. It was perfect! We had a couple of pretty windy days from Hurricane Milton, but this thing was awesome!! It flapped some in the worst wind gusts, but was solidly in place with lots of shade for us. It was lightweight to carry, easy to set up (takes a couple of times to really be a pro), and solidly in the sand. The only negative my husband could come up with was that he saw another brand that had reinforced corners where the poles go and wished this one had those. But the price was such a deal, and this one will hopefully last us many years, so no worries on that. It’s gotten a full seven days of use with no wear and tear so far.

This is the best shade solution for the beach that I have ever seen. Simple and quickly setup with very little effort. Disassembly and repacking was also a breeze. Held up great even when the sea breeze was blowing very hard.

Lightweight and easy to transport, it's very easy set up with 2 people. Depending on strength of the wind, you may have to relocate sandbags. Make sure to bury the poles for increased stability.

Do not buy this tent if you plan to use it on a beach with any wind. We used this three times while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC and on the third day the wind was whipping the canopy and actually pulled out the stakes and slingshotted the stakes and bungee cords about 60 feet away on the beach. We are lucky that someone wasn’t hit by a flying stake because the beach was very crowded! I feel like the design is not sturdy in wind and the fabric stretched out after only two uses. We have a Cool Cabana beach tent that has a much better design and never moved during the same wind that nearly destroyed this one. Unfortunately the return window closed 4 days ago or I would definitely be returning. Instead I get to throw it away and eat the cost.
