So when I initially set up the EASEGMER retro handheld and turned the knob… it boots, with no fuss. The 3.0” screen is small but makes it easy to toss in a bag, and the retro TV styling with the old school antenna …that was the perfect touch. I have yet to use the feature to make the view bigger, (you know it plugs in with a AV cable). Thankfully the unit itself is rechargeable over micro-USB, while the controller takes AAA batteries… I didn’t understand the purpose of that. It wasn’t that hard to slap another rechargeable battery with the same micro USB receiver. The game library lands in the “plug-n-play classic” zone with titles that feel like old NES-style curios, with plenty of repeats and variants (lots of Tetris Like and fish games). Menus take a moment to learn and can feel clunky, and a few big name games I was hoping for don’t appear. For quick sessions it has fun and responsive buttons, no visible lag and it’s easy to just leave out at work on a shelf for the off and or down time. Build quality is somewhere in the middle with me. The unit is light and portable and everything works as advertised, so yeah everything in person looks just like the photos, but yet the whole package reads more “novelty” than premium. The small screen isn’t meant for longer play, and navigating the catalog isn’t as smooth as on modern systems but for the price it’s expected. I mean value depends on ones expectations… As a nostalgic desk toy that can also plug into the TV, it checks all the boxes…like easy setup, kid-friendly, and fun for a quick run through. If you’re chasing polished graphics, deep catalogs, or top-tier build, it will come up short…but at a low price it feels like a fair, quirky gift. Now if it were higher pricing it would feel “spendy” for what’s essentially a lightweight retro box. For me, it’s a tidy, portable throwback I reach for when I want a simple game and a bit of 8-bit quickie.

So this is a funky little guy. I remember when emulators were all the rage and to see this set at the pricepoint is crazy! It is very cute on a desk or bookshelf but is also a lot of fun to play! The controls are not snappy but once you get playing it works well enough. Well made set that is great for a road trip or any time you want to show the kids how video games use to be. Honesty I found this is better for screen time as the old school games are much more giving to a natural stopping point unlike the never ending open-world style that modern games are.

This little system is really cool I think. I really enjoy games like these because it gives me a chance to explain to my kids and grandkids how we use to play games like this. I grew up on the original Nintendo and this is in that same category. I like things that me and the kids can play together and I still understand whats going on and how to play. Not to mention you can take this anywhere and play it even without internet. I am very pleased with this game system. The price point for less than $25.00 is amazing. This is a quality, lightweight, easy to travel and functional gaming for everyone. I definitely recommend this for all ages. I hope my review has been helpful for you.

This little retro TV game console is a fun throwback that looks great on a shelf and works better than expected. The mini TV design is adorable, complete with antennas and old-school knobs for a classic look. It comes with a wireless controller, charging cable, and AV cords to connect to a larger screen. The built-in games load quickly and bring back plenty of nostalgia, especially for anyone who grew up with older consoles. The only minor issue is the sound quality and controller response, which could be a bit smoother, but overall it’s a charming and entertaining gadget that’s worth the price.

I was able to turn this gaming toy on and immediately begin enjoying the games. Although the "tv" itself is rather small that is one of the great things about the design. The size of the toy makes it so easy to transport while it maintains all functions that were bult into it. The battery being rechargeable is another perk for my household. The toy seems to be made with quality in mind all the way down to the TV's rabbit ears. The retro look of the TV and controller are perfect complements to the available games and appropriate to the time period being paid homage to.
