This thing is nostalgic bliss.
Color: Wood
The woodgrain console tv design brings me back to my childhood, and luckily for me this system is much more than a visual gimmick. This thing is exactly what i wanted, minus the ability to add preview images to all the games I added. My machine now has 825 titles. The instructions tell you to create specific folders on the SD card which were already there, so all i had to do was drag and drop. The included junk games are all zip files. So i tried zipping the rom with a jpg image file, and while the game still showed up on the list and launched fine, the image did not show in place of the placeholder image. Oh well. I tried. The search function takes a minute but it does work. The controller’s D-Pad is near-perfect and the buttons feel okay albeit noisy. I do think there’s a SLIGHT lag, as the video I uploaded of me tackling Magnet Man in Mega Man 3 shows me taking damage. Maybe i was rusty, but i never take damage in that boss fight. I love the turbo buttons. You need that in NARC, Gradius, and Contra, and other bullet heavy titles. PAL games will run, but the music slows down. So this emulator is based on NTSC compatibility. You can save to and load from up to 9 save state slots PER GAME. And i still don't know what the (<) and (>) buttons below the tv screen are for. They don’t do anything when i press them on in any menu. I won’t bother popping the SD card out to play the Jaleco titles, because i have all the USA/English versions added from my collection. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m about to do some Cyclone Spin Kicks in Double Dragon II: The Revenge.

Cute but small
Color: Wood
This is cute and fun to use, I just wish the screen was a little bigger. The games are generic versions of the games you're used to seeing. They are playable and fun, but not exactly what you might be expecting, not a bad thing, just setting expectations. The instructions were a little lacking especially trying to naviage through the games list, whereas I thought I could cycle through the pages of games using the main unit buttons and I kept saying to myself, there's gotta be more than 6 games on this thing, then I played with the controller and figured it out. I did want to point out something odd for those interested in this unit.. the main unit charges via usb-c, which is great, but I went to charge the controller and couldn't find a port, then noticed it uses 2x AAA batteries. I don't understand why half of the unit is rechargeable, whereas I feel that could be improved. Overall, it's a fun gadget to use to pass the time.

Too complicated to operate considering it's supposed to be one of the easier and it never will tell you what games are on it. Do you have to buy it to figure it out?

Fun gift!
Color: Blue
My godson loves this. The screen is small but is great given the size. Good clarity. Good sound. Good game variety. Easy to put together/start. Just needed batteries!
