Features

  • POWER AND FLEXIBILITY: The 79cc Viper Engine spins a 9 spring steel blade at 3400 RPMs providing the power and speed you need to accomplish lawn, sidewalk and driveway edging tasks. The edger can also be used for smaller trenching jobs such as electric fence installation or creating an underground cable run to a garage or shed.
  • MUTI-ANGLE CUTTING: Our multi-position pivoting head offers 5 different cutting angles from 70-110 degrees allowing the user to select the angle that is best suited to handle any type of grass they need to edge. Head adjustment is made by simply sliding the single-hand operated lever into the appropriate notch on the adjustment plate.
  • PRECISION LINES: Clean professional lines can be easily achieved regardless of grass type when you combine the balance of a 4-wheeled design with multi-angled cutting. Use the 90-degree angle option to slice through standard blade grass or select between angles of 70, 80, 100, and 110 degrees to create a clean edge when dealing with creeping or tuberous grasses.
  • FLEXIBLE DEPTH CONTROL: Take complete control over your depth of cut with our flexible control mechanism. From the operating position, engage the adjustment lever with one-hand to select from over 5 different depth settings from 0.5 inches up to 3.5 inches.
  • DEBRIS GUARD AND TOOL HOLDER: A durable chain skirting protects the operator from flying debris while the attached tool holder provides a convenient place to store smaller hand tools making them easily available for lawn and sidewalk detailing.

  • Buy it
Style: Edger
I don’t understand the negative reviews on this edger. After 60+ years of working with tools, I usually am hesitant to buy tools or machinery online because I am often disappointed with the poor quality that is delivered. Not so with this edger. Delivered box was intact with nary a scratch, took 30 minutes to put together w reasonably good instructions, all pieces parts are solidly made, all parts fit easily together without having to “persuade” anything, engine started right up after 2nd pull and ran smoothly, nothing rattled, edging w it is a breeze. American made, good warranty, solidly built, and works well. I am pleasantly surprised!! Buy it ... show more

  • Great machine
Style: Edger
Assembly was a little cumbersome, but not rocket science, & with patience, was able to figure it out. I would recommend to the manufacturer a diagram of nut & bolt sizes to ease trying to figure out what was what. That would be my only complaint. The edger is rugged & works great. Love being able to angle the blade for my gardens with only grass edges. Once assembled, it is 5 stars! ... show more

  • Handlebars are thin & not padded seems small for large hands. Hands are sore afterwards.
Style: Edger
Starts easy and starts on first or second pull. So far Earthquake seems to have adequate power for my 1/4 mile plus mile of street and inside large circular driveway edging. Te dangling safety chains to prevent pebbles etc from blasting the left shin bones is a big deal IMHO. Of course pushing it on thick Fla. lawn to get to flower beds edging is a difficult. Takes me one hour to do all the edging necessary. This 76 year old geezer cannot sling a string trimmer with blade as I did in years past. This is a very nice product and and should last many years. Easy to maintain. Sips fuel and is quiet, but earmuffs are necessary. HUh? What? LOL Wear eye protection. Happy Camper ... show more

  • It will edge
Style: Edger
Arrived unassembled, which I was expecting. You will need a driver/socket set and plyers to complete assemble. Assemble was pretty simple, considering how vague the instructions are. After completion I added the oil & gas, and it cranked on the first pull. Used it to edge the front yard and it worked just fine. Cons: The instructions are vague but pay attention to the pictures and no problems. Pros: Great value at this price. Fairley easy to assemble. First use, it did its job adequality. ... show more

  • Still happy after several months of use.
Style: Edger
This has been a welcome addition to our yard equipment. After years of frustration trying to edge with a weed eater, even one designed to edge we finally found this one. It took a little practice to get the results we wanted, but now we can edge in 15 minutes what used to take an hour or more. Assembly was easy if you've got the proper tools....especially adjustable wrench and socket set. Assembly was a little awkward for one person holding the parts in place and fastening them at the same time. Two people would be better. It's sturdily built with cast parts and good welds. There's nothing that should break easily. The heavy chains be behind the blade are a nice safety touch. The engine starts easily and doesn't need a gas mix. Be careful and measure the oil before adding it the first time because the oil that comes with it is more than the engine calls for. I'd recommend this to friends. ... show more

  • PITA to assemble and won't idle after 5 months
Style: Edger
I'm mechanically inclined but this was a pain to assemble. I absolutely hate that this came with the california BS where it routes part of the exhaust back into the carburetor but what could possibly go wrong sending dirty exhaust into your carb....lots of carbon build up. It is also set to idle very low, again due to California forcing their agenda on the rest of the country. I bought this just under 5 months ago and it ran okay initially, but a bit under-powered. I had slacked off edging and didn't run the edger for 3 weeks and last weekend when I went to use it, it would no longer idle. The first season isn't even over yet and the darn thing won't even stay running.... Do yourself a favor. If you don't live in Cali, buy yourself a nice edger that doesn't have the "CARB" compliance nonsense. I deeply regret spending all this money on something that didn't last one season. Update: Artisam had me drive 41 minutes away to have a small motor repair shop do a warranty repair. They tried to clean and replace the jets with no luck so had them send a new carb which was backordered. 5 weeks later I got the edger back. It is running, but for how long? ... show more
