  • Once it's built it works great!
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
As stated in other reviews assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Directions are vague and the pictures even worse. Having said that, once it is put together, IT PERFORMS WELL AND DOES THE JOB! I am totally satisfied with the machine itself and would give it 5 stars easily. Also. all the pieces and parts where in the box and it goes together very well once one figures out what goes where. Just an update: have finished tilling my wife's 25' x 25' garden space. This machine did all that was asked of it and did it well! ... show more

  • Easy and Effective
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
We bought this because we live in a place where the ground is always hard and compact! We are redoing the backyard and mixing it compost! The tiller works beautifully and is easy to maneuver in corners! So glad we invested!

  • Great machine, buy it but terrible instructions
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
Compact, powerful and priced well. Really chees up the ground and does not bounce you around. Written and picture instructions are worthless, just not right but it is a simple machine so with a little mechanical ability you can put this together in 15 minutes, half of which you will stare in disbelief of the instructions, lol. ... show more

  • Great budget tiller
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
This tiller can't compete with a good rear tine tiller, but for the price it works great. I have compacted clay soil and this tiller was able to cut through it. I started shallow and made multiple passes, but as long as you work slowly and don't try to push deep fast, this tiller works great.

  • Nice little tiller!
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
Bought this tiller to put in a small garden area and so far I've had no issues. My dad who has some health problems is a huge fan and has used it more than me. Assembly was a bit of a pain but it's a good running little tiller we hope to get many years of work out of.

  • Does the job it was intended to do
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
I bought this tiller to replace a 20-year-old Craftsman cultivator that no longer runs reliably. I had previously purchased an Earthquake Chipper Shredder about five years ago and was happy with its performance. I started shopping around for a name brand tiller and found this one at a substantially lower price. Assembly was straight forward. The tiller comes with a 20 oz bottle of oil to add before starting. Be aware the motor takes less than 20 oz. Starting is quick one or two pulls is all it takes. I used it to till a new garden space and it cut through the sod well though it does bounce around a lot and requires a firm grip to control. Took me about an hour and a half to till a 15' x 20' plot. Overall, I would recommend this product. ... show more

  • Difficult to Assemble, but Runs Well
Style: VERSA Tiller (Dropship ONLY)
There were two bolt holes that weren't even close to being the correct size for the bolts specified in the installation instructions, so I had to spend roughly 10-15 minutes with a handheld drill chipping away at each hole in an effort to enlarge them to accommodate the bolts. There were also no extra hardware provided. For an expensive product such as this, I typically expect to have an extra bolt, nut, and washer in case one gets lost during assembly, but this manufacturer does not provide extras. The assembly process took way longer than it should have, mainly due to the bolt holes being the incorrect sizes. The instructions were also unclear as they combine multiple different model types in the same instruction set, and they effectively skip the step showing the side cover installations, which must be completed prior to tightening the long steering handles. Luckily, after assembly and after adding oil and gasoline, the tiller started right up beautifully. I haven't actually used it to till my garden yet but I'll give it credit for starting up as easily as it did. All things considered, I'll give this 3 out of 5 stars. I'll revise my score later if anything unspected occurs when I use it to till my garden next month. ... show more
