My wife found the EA-ONE D9X Automatic Folding Lightweight Motorized Electric Wheelchairs online, while researching possible replacements for our heavy Hoveround chairs. We are both disabled and wheelchair bound, but still enjoy visiting the Disney park frequently and traveling often by airline or cruise ship to various vacation destinations. The large size and heavy weight of our Hoveround chairs proved difficult and unwieldy for airline personnel to handle and made it dufficult to find local accessible transportation (taxi's, buses, rental cars) at our destinations. We decided to purchase a D9X chair for each of us and have been very pleased with the quality, ease of use, convenience and customer service from EA-ONE! Our chairs arrived less than two weeks after ordering on Amazon and were ready to go in seconds! The chairs came with remote controls that allows you to unfold and/or fold the chair at the touch of a button in just seconds! You can even have the chair come to you via the remote control! When not in use, a touch of a button on the remote automatically folds the D9X down to the size of a large suitcase - weighing less than 60 pounds - for loading in the trunk of your car or storing in a corner, out of the way. A single overnight charge of the lithium battery provides ample power for a full day at the theme parks, cruising the Las Vegas strip, or any other excursion of your choice. I'm pleased to report that customer service at EA-ONE is outstanding! Since our purchase, EA-ONE representatives have reached out to us multiple times by phone to confirm that we are satisfied with the product and to inquire if we have questions or need assistance! We are traveling to Oahu, Hawaii this week - and thanks to our new D9X foldable chairs, I was able to cancel our reservation to rent a wheelchair accessible van and reserve a regular rental car at 1/3 of the cost! I’ve had this chair for about 5 days now and waited to take it around to see how well it works. To begin it arrived very quickly which was good since my other chair had mechanical issues and can’t be used. The newer model chair is much lighter and was easy to take out the box since the frame can fold into compact size. I would recommend using an orthopedic cushion because the bottom is metal bars even though it includes something to sit on eventually it would cause problems because foam is very soft and the weight wears it down. It was no trouble for me because mine fit the dimensions on the seat and I was able to see a back cushion also to be comfortable. The manual for the battery says to wait 4-5 days to be at maximum capacity and it has 5 power bars after its turned on the joystick can’t be touched at all or the horn will beep. The horn beeps when going backwards also which is sort of annoying but I used some putty to muffle the sound so it’s quieter. Taking the chair to the store used one power bar, also it’s not a super powerful motor because of the weight so going backwards up a ramp isn’t possible. This is just a small problem for me because I have a ramp to get into my mini van normally I go up backwards to transfer to the driver seat but now I need to adjust to the position. But removing the foot rest makes it simple because it extends outward it makes it harder to get close enough to every day objects like the bed, toilet, or getting in and out of the chair. For the money spent it’s a good choice, I like that it’s not bulky around the sides too. That does mean the turning radius is much wider so you need to drive it in bigger circles rather than spinning sharp edges. I feel less worried though having the simpler motor is less issues to arise. ... show more

I purchased this wheel chair because I wanted to get out of the house more and it is provided me the freedom to go and do things on my own and the bus drivers have told me that their job is a lot easier since I have this chair. I went out today and rode all over the store and was very happy to have it. I did not have to look for a store scooter. I feel real save in it because it is mine and I am glad that I made this important purchase. I did not have to wait like I've had to do in the past when I would go out which was not that often now I can go to stores that do not have a scooter. Now this is the first time making such a purchase - I looked at another wheelchair - the Zinger and I was not impressed with it because it does not give the safety that I wanted but this one has the belt in it - have not used it but is there if I need it. ... show more

This is going to be my best and favorite wheelchair ever. We lost a manual and couldn't figure some things out. The owner took our calls as late as 11:30 p.m. to help us figure things out oh, the owner then went to the warehouse at 11:30 p.m. at night to show us a demo. Again it was our fault because we were trying to use it without the user guide. The chair can fold in and fold on its own and the click of a button. You can summon the chair to you you can guide the chair remotely using a remote. The chair can handle gravel and dirt and slopes of up to 25 degrees. Like I said this is the best and most favorite wheelchair I have ever had and for a very very reasonable price considering all the functionality it has ... show more
