This is for the 22pc version. The nice thing about this is that is is light and cordless. The battery life wasn't an issue for me. I just recharged it between uses and they were not marathon sessions. So ymmv on that. It is aiming to be like a Dremel, but it has only 2 speeds, but is is around half the price.. Depending on what your task is, you can make it bog down, but for the vast majority of tasks, it'll be good enough. The task I chose as my test one was cutting thru a rubber grip, then an aluminum handle that had galled onto a hose end. I borrowed a cutoff wheel from my Dremel kit to cut the rubber and the aluminum. The rubber was pretty thick and the deeper I got the more the motor struggled due to the surrounding drag from the rubber. Once the rubber was cleared from the area I had to cut on the aluminum handle, it was fine. The high speed and the cutting disk cut a nice groove in the handle. I was able to insert a screwdriver in the groove to split the threaded handle and thus remove it from the hose end. That brings me to the missing "nice to have options." This should have 2 things: some cutting wheels and a case. A few cutting wheels would make this much more versatile. Also, a cheap molded plastic case in the box would be better than just storing it in the original packaging. In any event, those are minor issues that do little to take away (aside from 1 star) from this tool being very handy and capable. It is billed as an engraving tool, but it can do so much more with the right attachments. All my Dremel ones seemed to be compatible.

Many people will try to give you the "dremmel speech" but for the price this will fit 90% of the users. Yes there are dremmel models that may provide a little more power but for a comparable set your looking at close to twice the price. This is a true variable speed unit not a 6 speed so you can dial it in to your want/need. It isn't overly loud (I have an old smaller dremmel that is much louder but can't speak to the new models). The majority of my use will probably be with the flex shaft so that was why I looked at kits with "everything" included. I think there are comparable models on amazon that may be a bit nicer or have a couple wanted accessories (such as a removable pistol grip/detail grip) but with the extra coupon currently available this is one of the higher wattage units right now for the price. It comes with a bunch of accessories but the majority are sanding discs. My biggest gripes are minor inconveniences such as the power switch on the bottom of the unit, the carrying case needs a cutout in the molding for the power cord (kinda hard to close it all back up nicely and keep it all together) and that it is obviously a mass produced product as all of the accessories are randomly jammed into a little box that as soon as you open it pieces start falling out and you basically have to remove a bunch to get to the piece your looking for. Pay attention, along with the accessories is a spare set of brushes, you may not need to change them for a long time, depending on use, but they are a welcome addition as 2-3 years from now who knows if you will be able to find a proper set of brushes should you need them.

This unit (corded) is being compared to my current cordless Dremel. The carrying case that it comes with is nice and almost perfect. My only complaint with this one is that the power cord doesn't seem to have a place to go. You can stuff it in but there isn't a home for it. There are quite a few attachments that come with it that can be used and most of these seem to be good and/or comparable to the name brand counterparts. As far as operation goes, this unit is corded vs my dremel that is cordless so it obviously has more longevity but is not as portable. The device is a bit louder and likely would be disturbing in any setting inside of a house for instance. Aside from that, there are no other complaints with this device and I would recommend it to anyone as a comparable replacement for the name brand equivalent.
