  • Beyond Expectations
I'm 76 years old and only a few pounds overweight, but I want to shed a bit of weight and get in better cardiovascular shape . I felt an eBike would be the way to go. It took a while, I researched dozens of bikes including some start ups on Indigogo. I had some specific things I was looking for with price being a major consideration. When I came across the Eahora, the price seemed almost too good, but the reviews said otherwise. Another thing that attracted me to the bike is the fact is had only 7 gears and 3 levels of pedal assist. For me this was PERFECT, because 99% of the riding I will be doing is on the Rockingham Recreational Trail. It is a 25 mile trail made from an abandoned branch of the B&M railroad. It's flat and straight. There is no need for a lot of shifting. When the bike came, there was no paper manual, but I was able to download it from the site. It required assembly and I found the easy to follow YouTube video, to guide me through the process. There was nothing in the manual about tire pressure. A little more research led me to the conclusion was that it should be somewhere between 50-65 psi. Unfortunately, when I approached the 50 psi point on the rear tire, it blew the tube. I immediately contacted the company. They responded within 24 hours and told me to have it repaired and they would credit my Amazon account. What transpired next was something that made the blow out worthwhile. I called a local ebike shop and began telling them the story. As soon as they heard I had purchased the bike online, they told me the generally only serviced brands they sell. I told them it was just a tube replacement and that was no problem. I dropped of the bike and it was ready in a few hours. When I went to pick it up, I was going to ask him what he thought of the quality of the bike. I never got the chance, as soon as I walked in the door he said, "That's a really nice bike. The reason we only repair brands we sell is because most online bikes that come in here are crap. " Then I asked him what he thought the bike cost and he guessed $1500. When I told him it was just over $900 he said, "With the battery???" We continued the conversation and he showed me a bike they sell that could have been my bike's brother. They looked very much the same, including the color scheme, but it had a more powerful motor, more gears, and it sold for $1700. It's only 20 degree here today, but I had to take it out for a test run. I am very please with the price, the performance, and the responsiveness of the company. ... show more

  • Yep, buy it
This in an initial impression review. Keep in mind, I have been a mountain biker since the 90's, so I am reviewing from the perspective of upgradeable reliability. I decided to purchase this bike based mainly on price and potential. Bike arrived very well packed, they are now filling the boxes with spray foam. Wrapped in many layers of plastic and additional foam. It went together fairly smoothly. One thing I noticed right out of the box was that the front wheel does not use a quick release skewer, it is old school bolt on. I kind of expected this and upgrading to qr is simple and cheap, no real problem here. A couple other components that I feel must be upgraded before being truly trail ready are the tires and headset, (or lack there of) the tires are thinner than I possibly imagined, even after hearing them described that way. There is no headset, just thin bearings. Again, this is how it is advertised, assembly videos from eahora show the bearings vs a headset. If you plan on urban riding, this will probably never be an issue for you. If you want to do some mild singletrack, immediate upgrade would be required. The frame, battery, charger ,handlebars, crank, freewheel, gears and shifter could all be used on singletrack without upgrading. I could only take it out for a brief ride around, but it has plenty of power. I am approximately 215lbs and it gets me up inclines i cant pedal up on my mtb. I plan on ordering a generic headset and putting some kendall tires on it and will update review then. For the sale price of 799.00, you could not build this yourself. Even a bafang motor and battery are going to start approaching 500.00, add a very nice aluminum frame, shimano 1x drivetrain and your going over the cost of this bike. Not to mention the battery is integrated into the frame, you cant duplicate that. I expect that after putting maybe 200 into upgrades, it will be on the same level as bikes that cost twice that. And if your a city or casual rider, you probably dont need the upgrades at all. I was very cautiously optomisitc when I ordered a 799.00 e bike, but it turned out great! I would very highly recommend this to anyone. I forgot to mention the front fork. Another biggies for singletrack riders. it's not superb, but will get the job done. I will probably upgrade to an air suntour on the next upgrade. Beyond that, I dont see what else you could reasonable do to make it better. If your looking at ebikes sub 1000, this should be on your list. Will update review when new tires and headset are installed and a couple trails have been ridden. ... show more

It was supppose to bring a chain lock and a bag but the previous owner keep them. It’s like buying used merchandise

  • Overall a good e-bike
This bike rides very comfortably for me, it takes bumps well as the tires and front forks cushion the ride surprisingly well. I've only been able to ride a few time as it's still winter here on the east coast in the Mid-Atlantic. The battery lasts a long time, which is a huge plus and It does hit 23 mph on flat surfaces. It's an overall fun ride as long as you are not going uphill which is the overall weakness of this e-bike especially if your going up a five degree grade or more! If its more than 10 degrees get ready peddle real hard. However, If most of your riding is on flat terrain then this is a really nice e-bike for the price! ... show more

  • Best ebike i have owned
This is my 3rd ebike and it is by far the best, super comfy and very fast! Although I have only had it a month as of this review I have put 175 miles on it! Commuting as well as joy riding, I tend to use the throttle more when its a simple commute and the thumb control has unmatched fast response! I cant say exactly how many miles one can get “fun riding” but on a relativley flat with a few hills and I weigh 150 pounds I rode 40 miles and still had power left when I got home and as the battery drains there is zero drop in response and that is very nice, ALL sho wish to buy an ebike keep in mind, rider weight and road (flat hilly) even how strong is the wind you are riding into or at your back? All of those are very important things to consider but this bike does well in all conditions! One review had “terrible customer service” not true here I had 3 question and all were answered very promplty! Thank you for a wonderful bike!!! I love it!! Jonny! ... show more
