The boards that make up the sides do not line up straight. It takes a few people to get it right. We loosely assembled the screws into the metal, pre drilled holes and the set the wood screws while holding it straight on either end so that you had one side level and straight to mount the roof hardware on. Then we tightened the bolts. The end result is beautiful and worth the work. The frame absolutely has to be square and level for the roof to go on easily. Our back patio was full sun so we wanted this for grilling equipment and patio table. The size is perfect. We are 62 and 66 and the two of us were able to put this together. Follow the instructions exactly and it goes together well. It is sturdy but piece by piece it isn't too heavy to lift and assemble. It is packed well and each piece marked. A cooler, cloudy day would be best for assemble because all those black metal pieces get very hot. ... show more

This gazebo was delivered early and that all went great. I wanted it to be taller so, I bought 4- 6x6x10' treated. I used the so called 6x6 provided with the gazebo for a different project and when I cut it, it was hallow. See pictures, also the wood cross beams are 1x6 and not even full length you have to bolt them togethertomake them the length needed. I bought 2x8 and cut to fit so, it will last. The only thing positive I can say is the hardware and metal beams and roof seam pretty heafty well made. I was very disappointed in this construction for paying almost 2k for this. I spent another 500.00 on lumber to build it to last. We will see how well the metal roof holds up. Wish I had not bought this and built my own from scratch. We have a large deck and enjoy being outside, weather permitting. I searched for a cheaper solution but ultimately decided to spend the money for this gazebo as it was idea size for the space we use for seating. I have no regrets for making this purchase. We sit outside often and we have our children and grandchildren visit almost every Sunday and gather in the gazebo often. It really made the deck useable and a lot more enjoyable. There is just something nice about having a roof over your head. The framing is all cedar, which has natural resistance to rot and weather damage. The vented roof is also nice. We purchased a propane gas fire pit and plan some chilly evenings in the gazebo. This is absolutely wonderful; the perfect finishing touch to our pool deck. We love to use our outside space and I'm sure this will add to our enjoyment for many years to come.     • Missing crucial part, difficulty getting resolved. EP doesn't answer phone or respond to emails.

I can't finish this, because there is a missing metal part that I'm probably going to have pay someone to fabricate, since I can't get a response from Eagle Peak. The cross members at the top are made of several pieces of wood that sandwich together. The wood should be the same dimensions, but some are as much as a quarter of an inch different in thickness and width and the holes don't line up for the bolts. I had to use a drill quite a bit getting them to fit. Overall, it looks really cheap compared to another brand of gazebo I have in another part of my yard. ... show more

Took approximately 10 hours to assemble and it looks great! Very happy with the finished product. Product was packaged well and directions made assembly easier than we expected.

Two months after we assembled the gazebo it has started to rust really bad. I have emailed the company along with pictures and have not heard back from them. For the price I would thing rust would not be an issue for a few years not 2 months later. Very disappointed and upset.
