This canopy was so easy to set up! Used it in the WA high desert to provide shade while camping. I tied a tarp on one side to shade as the sun moved down to the horizon. It was windy at night. I simply lowered the canopy legs so it was 3-4 feet off the ground and made sure the feet were staked out firmly. No issues with the wind. It held firm. It was also very easy to take down and pack back into its bag. Sometimes things don’t go back as they originally came. Not an issue with this one. I also like the roller wheels on the storage bag.     • One of Best Purchases Ever

I don't think you can beat this for the price. Extremely easy to setup. Set it up in less than 10 minutes by myself including attaching the top the first time and I never had anything like this before. After the first time, it was less than 5 mins Everytime. Only used it at the beach, wind blowing constantly, sometimes hard and while I was always concerned about it not handling it did. That is without using the tethers for additional wind support. The case has wheels, the bag, while not strong as a suitcase, was not very cheap either and appears to be strong where it's needed, like the carrying straps and zipper, with plenty of room to easily put the canopy back in. I could not be happier after using this everyday for a week on the beach. My wife loved it too and one day she set it up on her on in no time, including putting the top on. Its best not to store the top in the case if its damp from rain because it could mildew. Having an extra hand to spread it out and when raising the legs helps it setup faster, but can easily and quickly be done alone. Has some weight, but has rollers and if not for the weight, it could not do as well against the winds. You can use this anywhere you go and set it up fast. One more thing. When in places outdoors with lots of other people around, this gives you a nice area of your own personal space. I highly recommend. ... show more

This is easy to setup. The orange cover we have looks great and matches our racecar perfectly. For us, the tent was water resistant to the rainstorm that hit the racetrack and we had absolutely no leakage. It provided great shade as well as the sun found no little holes. Only complaint is, you need to be easy putting up and taking down as the tent isn't super sturdy. We've had other brands that seem to have better/stronger connections than aren't as flimsy. However, they also cost a LOT more. So, for the value/cost of this tent, we love it and recommend it to others at the race track. ... show more

Needed to little league football games. Able to pop up in the stadiums to help with shade and rain. Very sturdy and liked that I could get it in the orange color for the football team... light weight and the wheels on the carrying case helped with hauling it around plus it fit in the back of my suv.

I waited close to a month to tackle setting this canopy up by myself. I dreaded the results. Every year or 2 I put a new canopy over my small koi pond. The last 2 were so difficult for 1 person, that I broke struts both times which greatly compromised the integrity of the canopy, of course. Yes, I could have gotten help, but I don't want to. Shouldn't have to, for something like this. So, this year, came upon Eagle Peak. Reviews said easy for one person...yeah, so did reviews for the stuff I broke trying to set up.... But, took a chance on Eagle Peak. Finally got at it today. Took me literally 15 minutes to set it up. It is lightweight, so we will see how it holds up over the coming year. Lightweight but sturdy. I would happily buy a new one every single damn year if the Santa Ana winds blow it apart in the fall....Because I leave it up all year, wind, storms and all. Highly recommend this for ease of setup alone...with no expectations it will last indefinately outdoors in place. So, especially if you want to take it up and down, so easy!! ... show more

    • Hit the jackpot with this one - it’s great!

I needed something that would protect me and my dog from the sun at monthly events. I wasn’t looking for something so heavy duty I could use it in 40 mph winds, but I wanted something put together well enough that, treated with care, it should last a while. After obsessively studying Amazon’s offerings for pop up tents I decided on this one, and was not disappointed. There weren’t that many reviews but they were all good, and the weight of around 25 pounds made me think I could handle transport and assembly/disassembly myself (I’m a short but reasonably strong and agile 70 yo woman who’s comfortable with constructing things). I was not disappointed. I did a dry run in our parking garage, including putting on the canopy. It’s basically like a very large folding umbrella. I took my time to understand how it worked, and once I did, assembly and disassembly were quite easy. Once I had it down (leaving the canopy on), I put it in the carrying bag. It fit snuggly but not so tight it was difficult to get it in the bag and zip it. The bag is about an inch too long to lay flat between the wheel wells of my Outback cargo area but easily fits everywhere else. All in all I’m very impressed with the tent. It’s well designed and carefully manufactured, and operates smoothly; the fabric is fairly light but not flimsy; and it can definitely be handled by one person. I didn’t use the included ropes or stakes, but be prepared that the included stakes are quite thin metal, so if you wanted to use it for breezier conditions such as wide open areas like beaches you might want to use ones that we’re longer and stronger. Then again, this isn’t a tent meant for gale force winds, but used appropriately it’s definitely a winner. The same company makes A 10’ one with straight legs so that the canopy is 10’x10’ (canopy on this one is 8’x8’). Now that I see the quality if I decide I’d also like something larger I’d feel confident ordering that one as well. ... show more
