    • Fixed a favorite pole
Broke the tip off of a favorite pole and didn't want to throw it away so I bought this kit. Instead of using the glue that was included I used superglue gel. It sets quick but gives you enough time to make sure everything is lined up. You could use the glue stick included but this seemed like the easier option. I used the rod last weekend and it worked fine. It's a little stiffer than it was but losing about 4 inches that is to be expected. I have 2 tips left but hopefully I won't have to use them. ... show more

This thing just worked like a charm to get on. Even if it comes off, just heat it up and fix it again. The only problem is Amazon gotta do better and not put a sticker on the instructions!!

These are definitely to small for a saltwater rod. I should have measured my rod end diameter, but still a deceiving tile. I am satisfied that the company just told me to keep them instead of the hassle to ship back.

    • Easy fix for an older rod
The pack of three tips, with what amounts to hot glue, was a good solution for me, and it was very reasonably priced. I had read the reviews about size and double checked to see if one of these would fit my rod, a 10 or 11 foot surfing rod. The largest tip fit well. It shouldn't be too hard to check the end of your rod to see what it's diameter is. You should be sure the tip you want to use is larger. Very easy to use, great instructions. Just heat the old tip with a lighter, pull it off with pliers and use glue supplied after heating it and slide the new tip on. Great price, saved a nice rod and me money.
