I have used Eagle claw rods for over a decade. They are super durable, the first one that I purchased is still in use. I bought a second one recently so that I would have a matched set. I prefer the 8 foot to catfish with than the traditional 9 foot. I’ve never had a problem sticking the catfish with this rod, where other others were ungainly. I witnessed another fisherman, pulling in fish after fish, I asked what kind of gear he was using, and it was the Eagle claw rod. Solid eagle claw product, I bought it for a spare rod and for folks who come with me without a catfishing rod. It casts well is light and has some backbone. Don't think it's quite heavy enough for the biggest cats but is solid for normal use.

This rod is built for the fight. Very lite weight and very convientant to use. This 7 foot rod is the perfect size, very durable, looks amazing, and works perfect with bait casting reel. Would even work well with a bigger size Zebco reel.

11 years later, its still a very useful rod. I bought it for river catfishing. Now I'm more likely to use it as surf rod when I travel. It works well for both.

These were a Father's Day gift for my husband. Seems to be good rods, but one eye was pretty badly bent upon arrival. Not sure if that is the fault of the manufacturer or shipping company.

I can hardly believe the quality of rod you get for the price. I suppose its cost is low because it's fiberglass, but if you want a rod that will last, you can't beat fiberglass. I never buy all graphite rods as they always snap on me. I will buy of more of these in the future.
