We needed to replace some of our recessed lighting bulbs and the house was built using PL-C lights. These were more expensive to replace then standard LED bulbs. These worked great, it was a cheap alternative way to be able to covert the PL-C bulbs to E26 so we can use the LED bulbs we had already purchased. Works Perfectly

I moved into an apartment which had two GX23-powered florescent bulbs that would flicker and make noises as if I were in a horror movie for the first five seconds. Because it's not a good idea to suddenly rewire an apartment to something more logical just so I can use LED bulbs, I decided that I would try to find an adapter for GX23 that converts it into a standard socket used by all light bulbs. It was impossible to find them locally but I was able to find this on Amazon and it worked perfectly, I was able to replace the old florescent tube lighting with a standard LED bulb that is more energy efficient and it works perfectly without the flickering while simultaneously being much brighter. Now my apartment is finally fully LED powered rather than a mix of incandescent and florescent.

Fix for inadequate kitchen lighting

This adapter fit into an older plug in for can lights in our kitchen which provided insufficient lighting. The adapter integrated with contemporary and considerably brighter LED lights which virtually transformed the kitchen.

Great product. You must remove ballast!

I hated the Gx23 bulbs in our bath rooms. They take a couple of seconds to light up, they're not very bright, and when they need to be replaced...they're expensive! This is a great way to replace those damn bulbs with LED bulbs. They're easy to install. Just remove the old Gx23 bulb, bypass/remove the old ballast, pop these in, and screw in your new LED bulbs. Wish they had these 20 years ago. Excellent product that just works. Thank you.

Wasn’t able to get them to work.

Did a current check prior to installation. Everything checked out, however I could not get anything to work. I tried all 4 of the units for conduction they were okay. When the unit is plugged in, there is no voltage. Most likely a ballast issue or interior issue within the adapter? I will delve deeper into this issue as this unit is a combination bathroom vent with compact fluorescent lighting. Due to the configuration, I cannot do a direct ballast bypass as there isn’t any room to connect a standard bulb connection. The units appear to be well made.

These little adapters made a big difference in my life along with my kids!!! They say it's the small things in life, and in this case.... WOW!!! I have put up with dim lighting in my kitchen and 1/2 bath for WAY too long with the older stick-type bulbs, unacceptable to say the least!!! Thanks to these awesome adapters and robust LED light bulbs from Costco that had a great $4 coupon, (plug for Costco!), my house is just not the same, it's SO much brighter! 🌞 And it was SO simple and inexpensive! Had some Gx23 CFLs in ceiling cans that were burnt out (and I wanted to get rid of the rest and replace them with LEDs anyway.) The big box store wanted more than $12 for LED versions that were the wrong shape. I bought a couple packs of these adapters instead. They cost more than they honestly should but they worked perfectly! Fortunately, I anticipated the need for shorter bulbs so I had pre-bought some “short neck” PAR30s at the big box store. Easy-peasy!

December 2018 Update: Amazon is the ONLY place you can find these! NOT available at Home Depot or Lowe's! So while remodeling a home, I ran into a problem in that two of the bathrooms had those awful, 2-pin Flour Bulbs that are dim and a pain in the butt to replace. BUT... due to the way the original Cans were installed, it would have been a major headache to pull out the old cans to replace with new LED cans... so THESE are the Perfect Solution! Now have Bright LEDs in those Bathrooms! Cheap and Easy to retrofit!
