# EDIKANI E-Bike Long-Term Owner Review ### Seven Hundred Twenty Plus Miles Later After more than seven hundred twenty miles on this bike, I finally decided it was time to write a review. The funny part is that I wasn't willing to stop riding long enough to sit down at a keyboard and write one. Instead, I dictated my thoughts while I was out riding and used ChatGPT to help organize those thoughts into a readable review. Every opinion, criticism, compliment, and observation comes from my own experience. This isn't based on a spec sheet or a quick test ride. It's based on hundreds of miles of real ownership. If you're looking for another "I just unboxed it" review, this isn't it. This review comes from someone who has actually lived with this bike. When I bought the EDIKANI, I wanted transportation, recreation, exercise, and a platform that could grow with me. After more than seven hundred twenty miles, I can honestly say it became much more than that. I've ridden it on paved bike trails, city streets, county roads, rough pavement, gravel sections, and long recreational rides. I've crossed state lines, explored roads I never would have taken in a car, and spent entire days simply enjoying the ride. I've ridden in summer heat, after rain, into the evening, and at night. It has become my first choice whenever I don't absolutely need a car. One thing I appreciate most is that the bike encouraged me to ride farther than I originally intended. What started as short rides around town gradually became all-day adventures. I found myself exploring places I had never visited before simply because the bike made the journey enjoyable. One of the biggest compliments I can give this bike is that it became a platform instead of just a product. As I accumulated miles, I naturally started improving it. The stock saddle eventually gave way to a wide comfort saddle paired with a suspension seatpost. That single upgrade dramatically reduced fatigue and made long rides much more enjoyable. The handlebars evolved as well. I repositioned switches until everything felt natural, added bar-end mirrors that provide a stable, wide field of view, and built a cockpit that works for the way I actually ride rather than the way the factory assumed I would. Cargo capacity became equally important. I added front and rear panniers to balance the load and turn the bike into a practical touring and utility machine. Now I carry rain gear, tools, chargers, groceries, camera equipment, and whatever else I need for an entire day on the road without thinking twice about space. My phone mount, lighting, mirrors, charging setup, and other accessories weren't added because they looked cool. Every single one has a purpose. If something didn't improve comfort, safety, visibility, or usefulness, it didn't stay on the bike. This bike has become transportation. It carries groceries. It carries tools. It carries supplies. It carries everything I need for a full day away from home. Over the course of ownership, I've also gotten to know the bike mechanically. Routine maintenance has been straightforward. Small adjustments, regular inspections, and a few upgrades have kept it performing well. Like any machine that sees real use, it rewards preventative maintenance. What surprised me wasn't the specifications. It was how often I chose this bike over my car. The quiet ride changes everything. You notice neighborhoods, wildlife, rivers, parks, trails, and scenery that disappear when you're behind a windshield. The journey becomes part of the destination. After hundreds of miles, I don't wonder whether the bike is capable anymore. I simply decide where I want to go. No review would be complete without saying this: no bike is perfect. I've modified mine to better fit my needs, and that's actually one of its strengths. The EDIKANI gave me a solid foundation that was easy to personalize into exactly the machine I wanted. If you're expecting a spotless showroom bike after more than seven hundred twenty miles, this isn't it. Mine has road grime. It has dust. It has scratches. It has upgrades. Most importantly, it has miles. That, to me, is the highest compliment I can give any bicycle. Would I buy another one? Knowing everything I know today, absolutely. Not because it's perfect. Because it earned my confidence one ride at a time. If you're considering buying an EDIKANI, don't judge it by the first five miles. Judge it by the next five hundred. That's when you'll discover what kind of bike you really own. One thing I want to be fair about is the "cons" section. Honestly, I don't have much to complain about mechanically. The issues I had weren't failures of the bike. They were fitment issues between the bike and me. The stock saddle wasn't ideal for the distances I eventually started riding, and I wanted a riding position that fit my height and style better. Once I upgraded to a wider comfort saddle and a suspension seatpost, those complaints largely disappeared. Likewise, I spent time repositioning my controls, mirrors, and accessories until everything felt natural. I don't consider that a defect. I consider that part of making any bicycle truly your own. After more than seven hundred twenty miles, this bike has never stranded me. It hasn't left me walking home. It hasn't developed any major mechanical failures. It hasn't made me regret buying it. If anything, it's encouraged me to ride farther than I originally planned, and that's probably the best compliment I can give it. ### Minor Observations If I had to nitpick something after more than seven hundred twenty miles, it'd probably be the kickstand. It works. The bike has never fallen over because of it. That said, I personally would have preferred it to be just a little longer. With another inch or two of length, I think the bike would stand a little more upright on certain surfaces and inspire a bit more confidence when parked. This is very much a personal preference rather than a defect, and it certainly isn't something that would keep me from buying the bike again. It's simply one of those little details you notice only after living with a bike for hundreds of miles. Also to include - when I recieved the bike the dual motor switch was damaged. Manufacturer was very responsive and had the replacement part to me in short order. Inclosing I liked the platform so well I went out and bought an 21 speed version to rescue. ... show more

Put 110 miles on it so far so good. Decent build quality, a few things about it; 1. Check the electric cables and secure them with zip ties, it doesn't really have dedicated frame mounted stays. 2. Be absolute sure you have your axels torqued, the rear stays need to be deeper and have keepers. 3. If you ride it on the street get road tires, the Ruhuo 26x4 fat tires (their ad states 20psi, they are 20-35psi) they have deep tread and low rolling resistance, no flats, yet. 4. Headlight is nice and bright, taillight and brake light are a big bonus, nice touch. 5. Full hydraulic brakes that adjust and operate easily bonus! 6. Get to know it before you open it up, it's pretty fast (I've hit 45mph) 5th mode both motors on, it's got torque.. 7. Wear your helmet.. ... show more

Read the fine print i guess. This is my 3rd ebike and to buy this expensive bike and not have a dedicated key to enable the bike to be driven is wild. Even my 3 year old Benxi has this feature. Thats wild. Also, my city requires a brake light not just a tail light - i also assumed this bike had that like my 3 year old ebike. Also the throttle isn't the twist kind its the thumb kind. Fine, but because of the proximity to the brake handle it has to be mounted in an extremely awkward position. Unless I shave the plastic away theres no adjusting it. Also the fork was bent from shipping but that can be fixed i guess. ... show more

This bike is so fun, but they had a confusing disparity between the bikes that were being offered. I thought I was getting the dual battery version but instead it was just the single battery. The descriptions were the same swiping from one color to the other. Also, the bike does not go 48 mph on the flat unless maybe you weigh 50 pounds or less. I weigh around 190 and I got it up to 35mph which is still pretty fast. Overall, it’s a really sweet bike. ... show more
